John's POV
Huntsville didn't use to be this boring. John flipped through the channels. There was nothing to watch. He flicked through Netflix and Hulu and even YouTube. Nothing caught his eye.
Rhiannon deserved space to do her own thing. She had told him she was getting a tattoo tonight, that Lauren was going with her. It was wise for her to take a friend, and he liked the idea of her sitting and getting to chatter the way he assumed women did.
He was restless. He didn't want a drink, he wouldn't go to the bar. Maybe he could go shopping for something. A new watch? Shoes? No, he didn't need those either.
How about dessert?
Now there was an idea. He knew just the spot. There was a new cookie place that stayed open late. He would pick up a half a dozen and have one or two, and save the rest for when Rhiannon came over tomorrow.
