Selena's POV

"Hey, you don't need to feel nervous. You are the most beautiful woman who attended this event; you will be okay." Neil whispered as he guided me by putting his hand on my back as we got inside the grand ballroom.

I held his arm tighter as we walked on the red carpet, feeling conscious of our surroundings.

"It was easy for you to say," I whispered back as I faked a smile at him.

"Selena, you have to believe in yourself; why do you feel conscious when you look so beautiful; can't you see how the women envy you? And men couldn't stop having a second look at you even if they were standing or sitting with their dates." Neil replied.

"I felt so lucky to be your date tonight," he added as he held my hand.

My feet hurt, and my heart was pounding so hard that no matter how much he soothed me, I couldn't control my nervousness, and I needed to hold on tight to his arm.
