CHAPTER 61 – Pay Back

About ten men stood outside the house all dressed in black pairs of trousers and long-sleeved black shirts. 

In each of their hands held a sword with the tip pointing to the floor in front of them.

Not too far from where they stood, Leo paced in the courtyard with a finger on his jaw.

From the point where they had delivered the letter till Pearl was sent away, he had expected Zale to make an appearance so soon but to his amazement, that did not occur as the latter took his time coming.

'Did retracting my men from the marketplace not give him an idea that he was free to go back to his hideout? How come he has yet to arrive?' Leo wondered.

He shook his head, ditching whatever thoughts that rang the bell of Zale, finding out all of these was a trap.

Not only had he made some of Fearghal's men remain in hiding around the vicinity, he had the house full of them.
