章 407: Liam's Playdate

Ryan personally showed up at the Dominion Police Department early in the morning to demand Hans Winston's explanation. The answer he got was far from satisfying.

"You surrounded the hospital with your men, guarding the entire area day and night. Why were you unable to protect her?"

Hans gritted his teeth. He slammed a fist on the table angrily and glowered at Ryan.

"For your information, Prince," he snarled at the elder vampire who questioned his ability, "I was supposed to protect her from those who wished to harm her. I did not expect to have to protect her from herself!"

Hans punched a display button on a remote control, and the huge screen lit up with pictures. He also shoved a bunch of police reports under Ryan's nose.

"Just so you know, all evidence pointed out to her escape, not kidnapping from the hospital. She attacked a nurse and fled."

Ryan rubbed at the aching spot between his brows.
