He Juan had already been notified of Mu Yuze's arrival by the guards stationed at the residence beforehand, so he immediately dismissed Chen Youzhi, gave him a meaningful instruction to take good care of their guest, before making his way to the entrance. 

Anticipation and thrill surged within him, causing his heart to jackrabbit in his chest. 

Even though he had been expecting Mu Yuze's presence, somehow all of this still felt a little too… unbelievable. It seemed like only yesterday that he cut all ties with the seventeen-year-old Mu Yuze, nursing his broken heart while telling himself to let go, so that his little mate could live a peaceful and ordinary life – even if it meant without him.
