Lyle's brows furrowed as he listened to Nicholas, as he processed his words. The very idea that someone had hidden something in a spatial pocket, and then another person, or perhaps the same person had taken it, causing the deaths of who knew how many regular humans in the village, raised alarm bells. The corruption itself was incredibly dangerous, potentially dangerous enough to destroy their world if not taken seriously by the powerful empires and kingdoms, and now, while they were doing the best they could to leave the Flowing Wind Empire as quickly as possible, they came across such a scene.

"If somebody went through the trouble of doing such a thing in order to hide and then retrieve something, whatever it is, has to be incredibly valuable or dangerous," Lyle said, his voice low while his brows were furrowed.

"Since there are no witnesses left, it is clear that the person did not wish for a single being to know about what happened here, or what the item was."
