章 633: The Emperor's Past: The Shadow's of Lyle's Father

As they left the capital, Lyle glanced back and stared at the palace.

The Emperor was there, on the balcony at the top of the palace, seeing them off. It was a sign of respect for them, and yet, the only thing Lyle could think of was what happened the previous day, as well as the visit the Emperor himself had paid to him in the evening.

"You were a bit too hasty there." The Grand Elder said as he stared at the Emperor.

"Did seeing that emblem cause memories of that day to resurface?"

"How could it not?" The Emperor said as he sighed while sitting on his throne.

"I have finally managed to reach the same realm as that man, after trying for so long, and then, I see his son, who has already reached such a high realm while being so young, who will most likely become more powerful than either one of us later in life."
