Lyle stood straight and stared at the group in front of him with a smirk as the holy light continued pouring out, doing nothing to him.

In fact, he felt quite good, the light was not trying to attack him, to damage him, it was shielding him, embracing him, and making his body feel a bit warm and comfortable.

"N – no, t – this, this is-" The woman tried speaking, only for one of the men behind her to clench his hands.

"Idiot, control yourself, we all know who we are dealing with and why we are tasked with taking him down, why would you do such a thing?"

The holy light stopped pouring out of the magic circle as the woman stared at Lyle with anger in her eyes. It was obvious that Lyle had played on her anger and caused her to commit such a blunder, one that only served to make Lyle's words appear even more correct.
