Nicholas, upon seeing Lyle flying back to them with a slight smirk on his face, knew that the mission was over. Lyle had managed to kill the final target, and it was now time to end the battle.

With immense power, Nicholas suddenly moved, appearing next to the Emperor.

"You will not claim any more innocent lives today, you fiend!" Nicholas shouted, feeling as if he would vomit in his mouth from how embarrassing those words sounded to him.

He struck the Emperor from the side, to which the Emperor responded by blocking the sword, but it wasn't enough.

His body bent to the side from the power of the blow as he was sent flying back toward the capital and away from the army.

"Keep a formation, we don't know if we can hold him from coming back here before defeating him!" Lyle shouted as he and Nicholas both flew toward the Emperor who had already stopped and was about to charge back, only to be stopped by them.
