This wasn't the first time something like this had happened to some of them. Ever since the system appeared, people would receive missions from time to time. Either it would be during a dangerous moment, or a completely random one.

Some had even stumbled upon a cave or a secret door without realizing it and were given a quest to explore it, allowing them to know more about it and given a chance to gain rewards.

Nobody still knew just why or how the missions would be triggered. Some speculated it was when one was in danger, but that was quickly proven incorrect as many people who were in dangerous situations didn't get any quest from the system at all.

Some believed only those that couldn't improve further without external help would get a mission, but even those who were quite powerful and didn't have issues killing more monsters to gain soul power got missions.
