Curt looked at them, slightly absentminded, while he seemed to also be trying to recognize them. It only took a few seconds before the man seemed to become fully awake, and he was looking in Spade's direction; he recognized him obviously, while his eyes also shifted to Arren at the side. His eyes had an inexplicable emotion within them. 

But most of all, the fear was evident for a split second before it disappeared, and he seemed to accept his situation and quickly calmed down. 

Arren was astounded by this man's ability to remain calm in the face of a potentially dangerous situation. It was also one of the reasons he was hard to track and capture; aside from his sensitive danger sense and extensive connections, he could still think calmly despite being chased by authorities.
