章 15: Follow Those Humans

Being reminded by the rabbit, Zhu Lin's smile froze. She coughed lightly and said, "Well… Then you can use the crystals."

Tu Tu sighed, and helplessly said, "Master, my divine root is wood element. If I absorb the spiritual energy of the fire element, I will be burned to death, ah."

Hearing the rabbit's words, Zhu Lin scratched her cheek and hesitated for a moment, before saying, "Then... just sell the unused crystals?"

Tu Tu thought about its master's suggestion, nodded and said, "Well, that's the only way to go."

"Mhm, then let's sell the other crystals that we don't need." Zhu Lin said while putting the crystals back into the ice flower pendant.

Looking at its master's smiling face, Tu Tu thought for a moment and asked, "Master, do you know where to sell that fire element crystal?"

Zhu Lin looked at her rabbit when she heard the question. After a moment of silence, she said, "Uh.... I don't know."

The master and the rabbit looked at each other silently for a long time. Unable to stand it anymore, Bing Jian suddenly said, [Master, you can go in the direction of that car.]

Hearing Bing Jian's words, Zhu Lin and Tu Tu looked at the sword at the same time. Zhu Lin tilted her head slightly and asked, "Why?"

Bing Jian really wanted to know how the Heavenly Emperor raised its master. Could it be that living in seclusion really makes even a god stupid? All its master can do is fight and cultivate. Really useless!

Bing Jian felt that its master was really stupid, and said impatiently: [Didn't those people say they were going back to report on their mission or something?]

Having said that, Bing Jian thought its master should know what to do now, so it snorted and went to sleep again. Zhu Lin silently looked at her sword covered in black blood and rotting flesh. After a moment of silence, she generously used the little remaining divine energy she had left to cast a cleansing spell on Bing Jian as a reward.

Sheathing the clean and shiny Bing Jian back into its scabbard, Zhu Lin said, "Bing Jian is right. Since we don't know where to go, then let's follow those humans."

Tu Tu nodded and said, "Um. Let's go and have a look."

After deciding on their next destination, a god, a sword and a rabbit started walking in the direction where the car went. Zhu Lin walked for several hours before she saw another group of people walking toward the same direction as them.

Looking at their dirty clothes, Zhu Lin looked down at her blood-stained dress and thought: 'Well, it's a good thing I forgot to change my dress. Wearing this dirty dress, I should be able to blend in with these humans without problem.'

Different from Zhu Lin's thought, although her dress was dirty, she still attracted a lot of attention. The first reason is because she is wearing an ancient style dress.

As for the other reason, although her clothes were covered with blood, not even a speck of dust could be found on them. While most of the other people's clothes were covered with dust, there was no blood on their clothes.

The rabbit looked at the wall in the distance and said, [Master, this seems to be a combination of iron, carbon and a few other metals.]

After hearing Tu Tu's answer, Zhu Lin thought for a few seconds and said, "It seems that this world is more developed than the Mortal Realm in the Six Realms. Even those strange weapons used by those humans before seem to be more powerful than those weapons in the Mortal Realm."

Tu Tu nodded in agreement, and said, [Yes. Since there are countless small worlds, it is not impossible to have a few worlds that are more developed than the Six Realms. We should be careful since we don't know how strong humans are in this world.]

"You are right." Zhu Lin said while observing the soldiers on the high wall.

Looking at their fully armed weapons, Zhu Lin decided to keep a low profile for the time being. Her elder brother and that annoying Devil God always remind her to be careful against human's heart.

Zhu Lin followed the other survivors and continued on the road, until she saw the tall gate. Seeing a long queue in front of the gate, she looked around and found a mother and daughter walking not far ahead from her.

Zhu Lin quickened her pace, walked to the mother who was carrying her daughter on her back, and said, "Greetings, Madam."

The woman was taken aback by her polite greeting, but when she heard Zhu Lin's clear and calm voice, her vigilance was instantly reduced by half. She turned to look at Zhu Lin, and was very surprised when she saw her ethereal and beautiful face.

Zhu Lin saw the familiar dazed expression on the woman's face, so she waited patiently for the woman to come back to her senses. After a while, the woman came back to her senses, showing an embarrassing expression on her face.

She lowered her eyes slightly and asked, "Miss, do you need something from me?"

Zhu Lin nodded and asked, "Madam, do you know why those people lined up in front of the gate?"
