After some time he took out a B rank core from his shadow storage, and tossed it towards her.

"Try to absorb it," Evan asked her after she grabbed the core.

Layla tried to absorb the core but soon shook her head.

"It is not working"

"Do have a core inside you?" Evan took back the B rank core from her and asked wondering if she has a core like his prime core.

"No" shadow Layla instantly said shattering Evan's hope.

'Since there is no core inside them, the chances of them being able to increase their rank is almost zero' Evan thought feeling disappointed.
