Skye breathed out a silent sigh of relief when he heard the gates being opened and Veron's car driving in. It wasn't because he was worried or feared that something might have happened to Veron. Rather, it was because he was tired of listening to Gideon's and Jadon's discussion.

He would have simply retired to his room and left the duo to continue their discussion in the living room. However, just as he was about to leave them, Jadon decided to say something that forced him to stay back.

"Skye, I know you may think that this topic does not concern you, but you should be the one convincing Veron to come back and reclaim his position in Silver Lake," Jadon uttered, the very moment Skye turned around to leave them earlier. He had not even taken two steps when the words reached his ears, forcing him to stop and turn around.
