章 101: LOOKING FOR A JOB

With their two visitors gone, Eli and Belle let out a heavy sigh at the same time. Their timely reaction made them look at each other and laugh after a few seconds. 

"You really needed me to drive her away, huh," Belle commented while cleaning the table in front of her. 

"Are you really free this afternoon? I mean, I asked you to stay until I'm done with my work." 

"Do you still need my help? I can stay if you want." 

"Honestly, my work today isn't really that hard and it isn't very hectic either. I just wanted you here." 

"For what?" Eli scratched the side of his face and smiled awkwardly. He didn't know why exactly he wanted her there in his office. "Then, can I borrow your laptop? I actually have some online work that I needed to finish. If you can allow me to work here, I'll stay."
