章 205: Spring's Warm Embrace

As if winter had returned, the monsters stayed hidden during their slow travel through the mountains.

It took an entire day to reach the top and their movement was a little bit faster as the top of the extensive mountain range flattened out into a valley with glacial lakes inside. They were able to ride on horseback when there were no longer rocks or suspicious patches of ice that might result in a horse hurting its leg. 

It felt like the trip to Chemois where Henry had gotten used to waking up under a blanket of frost and keeping his body curled up in a ball while he slept so he could remain warm at least in his core. 

The promise that he would regain feeling in his limbs and toes was enough for him to wake up and start a quick breakfast for them so they could get back on the road as soon as possible.
