The previous day has been an eventful one. Not only was Erik able to win a spot to join the Red Palace, but he also met many influential people, including Richard Stone.

The young man didn't really know what to think about the man. On the one hand Richard Stone did look like a cool middle-aged man who loved drinking and, as much as Erik knew, doted on his daughter and wife more than anything else in this world.

He was a man who apparently valued friendship very highly and that treated everyone with kindness and respect; at least, that was how he was treated yesterday.

On the other, there were very dark rumors about the person. Many said he was a ruthless businessman who did everything he could to protect his monopoly over food and didn't shy from dirtying his hands to achieve the desired results.
