章 7: Chapter 7
It's been a week since my encounter with Mr spooky. I haven't heard from him,he didn't call or text like he promised. I guess he found me attractive only for a brief moment.
Frankly speaking,they were a few men, Mira had appreciated in the past but her fondness diminished over time. And after what happened she's finding it hard to move on.
"Grrr.... grrrr..." Mira's phone rang loudly waking her up.
"Hello?"
"Hi, Christian Fisher on the line,am I speaking to Mira?"
Godd,his voice is so manly....( I sighed dreamily) he probably didn't forget me and was just busy. I'll still play hard though.
"Mira? Mira.. are you there? can you hear me?"
Ohh, how are you Christian? "I'm fine,hope you are fine. Sorry I woke you up and sorry I didn't call or text. I've been busy with Christmas preparations".
You did wake me up,but it's fine. I've been sleeping all day anyway.
"Umm....I was wondering if you'd be free tomorrow evening so we could meet up and get to know each other better"
Well I'd be busy tomorrow,since I'll be decorating. Maybe next time.
"Okay,please let me know when you're free. Have a nice day" "You too".
"Damnit Mira! You could have said something else,that was a really flimsy excuse. Decorating? Really? anyway it's good,so I don't seem easy". ( Mira scolds and tries to reassure herself).
Hey Ris,why the long face?
"I think I fucked up! I didn't call or text Mira for a week and now she's moved on and refusing to see me". Shit!
So, her name is Mira. Danny also has a sister called Mira. Well,you should have called or even texted,but that doesn't mean she has moved on as you've said. Besides,you both aren't dating yet so relaxxx...just call her some other time,maybe she'll accept your invitation. "Or why don't you invite her to the Broadway show happening on Sunday.
"Right! You're the best! I love you! That's why you're my favorite sister... thanks a lot TY". "Ris,I'm your only sister. You're welcome though". Love you too.
I finally decided to decorate the house, with my family of course. I managed to convince them. As we hung the lights and placed the presents on the Christmas tree, I felt happy. Having my family with me, baking, decorating and having little chats was really lovely.
It's been 3years since Mira did Christmas decorations with her family. Ever since her mom became partner at a law firm she's been super busy. Her dad is even busier, since he's an anchor in one of the reputable radio companies in Ontario. As for her brother, he is a hormonal teenager that prefers playing video games and has no time for his sister. He loves her though.
"I love my family, despite their indifference. I won't say we are close knitted or perfect but we are always there for each other,no matter how much we disagree".
