章 5: Chapter 5 - Guns and Loyal Maid Problem
The next day, perhaps because of the memories from my past life. I woke up at 4:30 am, and start doing some exercise. As I jogged around our private island, I was also looking for a place to put the Mecha that I bought at the auction yesterday, and I decided to put it in an empty warehouse on the east coast of the private island.

"Another salad?"

"Melissa, no more salad, please!"
"Shut up, or I'll give a poison to your food!"

Alright, forget it. I couldn't think of anything other than instant noodles.
Not long after, Melissa came in with food from the kitchen. She placed her plate in front of her, and mine in front of me. Thank God, this time I was given a western-style omelette. Anyway, why are these two like salads that much?

After finishing my breakfast faster than them, I rushed to my room to get ready to go somewhere. As I was finishing my preparations, I just remembered that I hadn't given Alicia and Melissa the necklace I bought from the auction yesterday. So I grabbed the accessory box, and brought it downstairs.
I found them in the family room. Alicia was still in her pajamas and seemed to be doing something on her laptop, and Melissa next to her in casual clothes and short pants was watching a TV. When did she change?
I brought the accessory box to them and handed it over.
"Here, the white pendant for Alicia and the black pendant for you."
"....."
"Huh? What do you mean?"
"Just take it, Alicia will explain it."
I gave the accessory box to Alicia, then said.
"I'll be gone for a while to take care of something, if the Auction Hall staff comes with the Mecha. Just tell them to take it to the warehouse near the harbor in the east, I'll be back before lunch. I am off."
After saying that, I left immediately. I could still hear Melissa yelling at me to stop, but it would be troublesome to persuade her to accept the gift. I'll just leave it to Alicia.

After driving downtown for half an hour, I arrived at my destination. It was one of the firearms stores owned by my mother's company. When I entered, I was greeted by an elderly man who was probably around 40 years old.
"Welcome, Sir Hiro. We heard about your arrival from the President, she said you came here to buy firearms. Is that true?"
"Yeah. More precisely one pistol-type laser weapon, and 1 AR and SR-type firearm."

I then followed the old man into a room filled with futuristic-looking firearms and lasers gun. Although I had seen many firearms in my past life, but all these weapons still felt unfamiliar. There were actually a few laser guns that I could recognize based on my memories from the Academy.
"Please Sir Hiro, choose whichever one you want."
"Sure."
I then walked to the weapon racks, and searched around for the weapons I wanted. If possible, I wanted to find a firearm that was as similar as possible to the firearm I used to use from the memories of my past life.
I then saw a weapon that caught my eye, it was a sniper called Invention-V that used 50 caliber bullets.
"Ooh, good choice Sir Hiro. That is our newly created Sniper Rifle, its effective maximum range is up to 3.6 km and its accurate range is up to 2.3 km. In the hands of a trained shooter, the weapon is deadly because the sound it creates is not too loud even without silencer."
The effective maximum range is much farther than I thought.
"Then give me this."
"Very well, Sir Hiro. Would you like to test it in the shooting room?"
"Yeah, that sounds good."
After that I looked around for weapons again, and I chose the AR-15 as my AR, and a laser gun called the KR-17 as my laser pistol.
I then headed to the shooting range to test my weapons, the performance of the AR-15 was better than I remembered, it was probably due to the technology of this world is more advanced. As for the KR-17 laser gun, it felt a little strange to me, perhaps because it was the first time I had fired a laser gun after recalling my past memories.
The feeling of firing a laser gun was very different from firing a firearm, I hardly felt any recoil, this laser gun could even penetrate the thin steel that I had to shoot twice with my AR-15. Now I know why many people like laser guns.
But I would still buy this AR-15, even though this laser gun can penetrate armor. But it can't penetrate electromagnetic shielding, after all, it only uses level 2 laser bullets.
About the sniper, I'm quite satisfied. But there was one thing that made me a little uncomfortable. It was the scope's automatic setting of distance and wind speed.

"Since I was informed by the Chairwoman earlier, I only need your signature and a copy of your family card chip."
"Sure."
I then gave the lady a copy of my family card chip that I had prepared before coming here.
"Okay. For confirmation, there are four members in your family including you, correct?"
Four? There should only be three, right? Who is the other one?
"Can I take a look?"
"Of course, Sir Hiro."
The woman then turned the computer screen to me.
I was very surprised when I saw the members on my family card. Why was Melissa there? And why is her last name Denzelnas? It should be Krona, right? What the f*ck is going on!?
" Is there something wrong Sir Hiro?"

I tried to answer in the most casual tone possible.
"Then please sign here."
Although my mind is filled with what I saw just now, but I need to finish this first before I think about that.
"Okay, it's done. The weapon you ordered will be delivered directly to your place."

After I finalized the ownership papers for my weapon. I then immediately called my mom.

I then asked her back with a small smile.
"Well, actually I just wanted to ask. Do you know about the Hanz Workshop? We heard we can check the condition of our pilot suit there."
"Ooh, about that. I know but.... did you guys get lost or something?"

Another planet, huh? I honestly wondered where they were from and what they were doing here.
I can see that they have the same emblem on the right shoulder of their pilot suits, which means they are a Pilot Squad. There is a possibility that they are Official Pilots sent here to carry out missions, or Independent Pilots who are here because of Client requests.
It could also be that they were Athletic Pilots who came here to Pilot Tournament, but I don't think that's possible since this year's Tournament was held in the Lorandara Empire, and the tournament won't take place until next summer.
Well, whatever it is. None of my business, Melissa's problems are more important than this.
*Sigh*..... I'll buy one more ice cream and go home, maybe I should buy some for Alicia and Melissa too.

The two of them were still in the living room and doing the same thing, only this time Alicia was wearing casual clothes and short pants that were almost the same as Melissa's wear.

"Your mecha and weapons arrived earlier, they've been stored in the place you said."
Alicia said that to me just as I sat down on one of the nearby couches.
"I see, then I'll go check it out. Oh yeah, here's some ice cream for you girls."
I placed the ice cream I bought on the table along with the container that prevented it from melting. Melissa only reacted after she saw the ice cream I brought.
"Oh! Looks like not only your mouth has got better, but your sensitivity too, huh?"
She said that while taking 2 ice creams from the container. What a greedy woman, but I guess it's okay since I bought a lot.
"Then I'll go to the warehouse first, you two can enjoy the ice cream."
"You don't want to eat lunch? Melissa has already prepared your lunch."
"I'll eat it after this."
Since it was quite hot, I decided to go to the warehouse by car even though it wasn't too far away.
After getting there, I opened the big door of the warehouse and saw the Mecha I bought at the Auction Hall last night standing tall in the center of the warehouse. I could also see a container in the corner of the warehouse, that must be the gun I ordered.
I walked over to my Mecha to take a closer look at it.
It was about 6-7 meters tall, thick armor on the body to protect the pilot, and 2 weapon holsters on its back. I picked up a chip hanging in front of its hatch, this must be the chip that I need to insert in my pilot suit helmet in order to connect with this Mecha.
Unfortunately my pilot suit still needs a few more days before it's finished, I'm really excited to try controlling this thing.
I hope my pilot suit is finished soon.
