章 132: Arriving Too Early
"Thank you, you saved me a lot of trouble little Alice. I'll send you my address and my apartment. You can bring little Somi to your house, that is if she wants to, but I prefer if you stay with her in my apartment. So if you can, bring a set of clothes so that you can sleep here. You can use my room in the meantime." Mio thanked her before asking her if she could just stay at her apartment, even offering Alice her own room so that she had a room to sleep in.
When Alice heard it, she felt as if her head was going to explode. Never in her life would she think that she would get this kind of offer and in her mind it was the best offer that she got in all her life. Just taking care of Somi was enough for her because she would be able to ask her about Mio, but staying at her house, and even sleeping in Mio's room was something she could only dream of. But now that it happened, she was not going to let this chance slip away.
"Yes, it's fine! It's only two days, right? Plus I think it's better because Somi would be more comfortable knowing that she is not sleeping somewhere she doesn't know." Alice said as she tried to hide her excitement from Mio, but she easily saw it, though she didn't know why Alice was so excited about taking care of Somi. But she was still glad with this fact since she knew that Somi would be in good hands.
"I see, thank you again. Please come at exactly 6:00 in the morning, I know it's a little early, but it's because I need to leave at 7:00, so I want you to be here, you don't need to worry about breakfast because I will cook." Mio said and when she heard Alice agreeing almost immediately, she sighed in relief, she then thanked her again before finally dropping the call.
Now that everything is done, Mio can finally have peace of mind that everything will go according to her plan, though she is just mostly worried about Somi. At first, she was extremely worried because Somi would be prone to danger if she left her alone and if she brought her with her to the meeting, it would be just worse as things could go south quickly.
Even if she had someone to take care of Somi she was still worried, especially if she had to go to her last resort which was asking Xian'er because she was the last and best person for the job, but that would mean that she is putting her in danger. Her enemies hate her so it was not surprising for her if they used shameless tactics just to take revenge on her.
But now that Alice has taken the job, she is glad because she knows that her enemies are too spineless to actually do something now that Alice is the one who is taking care of Somi. No one was stupid enough to offend the daughter of the Elemental Witch, no matter who they are, they would not be able to escape her wrath.
The morning then came and Mio stopped playing with her computer before going to the kitchen, it was already 5, and now she needed to get ready to cook. She deliberately didn't sleep so that she wouldn't wake up late and as she was cooking she connected her phone to the news to listen to it, and just as she expected, every news was full of World Meetings, though, in reality, it was more accurate to say that it was a conference since it was just her mostly speaking.
As she was cooking breakfast, she heard the doorbell from her apartment which confused her because she was the only one living on this floor and it was still too early, so without thinking about it, she grabbed her hairpin in hand before peeking through the peephole. When she saw that it was only Alice, she was confused as it was still too early, but she still opened the door for her.
"Good Morning, Mio. I came just as I promised." Alice said with a smile on her face, but soon that smile froze when she saw what Mio was wearing. She was wearing nothing but a nightrobe that clung to her sexy body and she could clearly see that she was not wearing any underwear inside meaning that she had just woken up. This made her blush hard because Mio's appearance was simply too much for her heart.
"Good morning to you too, come on in. But why are you so early, I said that you could come in at 6, but it's only 5:20," Mio asked as she let Alice in she just nodded her head before heading in with her head hung low, this made her confused a little, but when she finally understood why, she laughed in embarrassment.
"My bad, I was cooking as soon as I woke up, so I didn't have time to change. Wait for a few minutes while I get change, it must be embarrassing to see me in a state, I'm sorry." Mio said as she let Alice sit on the couch before going straight into her room and dressing into something more appropriate. Which just consists of shorts and a sweater.
Alice was somewhat disappointed, but even so, she was still happy inside to see what kind of clothes Mio wore when she was in her house as she always saw her wear professional clothes during work and she never saw her wearing clothes that she wore when she is at home or just casual clothes.
"Stay there for a few minutes, you can turn on the TV if you want, but just keep the volume low as little Somi is still sleeping," Mio said as she handed her the remote before wearing an apron and went back to the kitchen to cook.
Alice did as Mio told her and opened the TV and when she did she was shocked to see that basically every channel was talking about emergency news that the elusive and legendary Hero of Earth was coming back again, and she even is doing with by holding a World Meeting.
"Mio is this the reason why you are going away? Because the Primordial Goddess of Death is coming back again? The news is saying that it came from my mother, but I have never heard her say something about it, and I'm sure that you have heard it already since the coincidence is just too great." Alice asked and looked at Mio which made her flinch.
"Well, since you saw it already, there's no need to lie. But yes, that is the reason. I'm going to the Palace, though I myself don't know what this is about, the only thing that I know is that the Hero said that she wanted my help for something." Mio casually answered as if she was already prepared for this, but it didn't raise any suspicion from Alice.
"I see… then I hope you good luck." Alice smiled as she then just continued to watch to get more information, but her hand, she was already trying to call her Mother for more information, but she was not picking it up, and she already knew why.
It didn't take long for Somi to wake up as she was a morning person, she always wakes up early. When she left her room, she was pretty surprised to see another person in the apartment apart from Mio, so she then ran over to Mio and asked her why Alice was there.
"Did you forget already, little Somi? I went to your room and said that I would be going away for two days and that Alice would be the one to take care of you." Mio just chuckled and gently flicked Somi's head.
"I… I forgot." Somi answered shyly, she then walked away and went towards the couch where Alice was sitting. When she finally arrived, she merely acted as if she was really blind and lifted her arms in the air as if she was telling Alice to pick her up, which she did. Alice simply placed her in her lap and when she did, she felt the bliss of happiness.
