Chapter 8: Getting Gym Bro's
As Izuku started to do his own stretches, I hopped onto the cycle this time and started to continue my cardio again.
After another 20 minutes, I decided I should rest for a bit as I waited for Aizawa.
Right on cue, as it hit 6, Aizawa walked in with his sleeping bag and slowly got out of it.
"Oh, someone extra here?" He asked as he got into the gym.
"I believe so sir. Another instructor named Yagi recommended that we work out together so that I will have some more motivation."
Eraser's head nodded a little and said, "Fine by me, I don't really care. You are already taking up my little sleep so adding 1 or 2 more is fine."
Izuku himself finished his run and joined us a little later, greeting Aizawa by bowing down and screaming, "GOOD MORNING!"
"Alright, now we will start from the basics. I'll be teaching you what I think is most practical in the real world and can be adapted to your fighting styles. We will start with Kick-Boxing." Aizawa said as he led us to a separate side of the gym.
Kick-Boxing was something really interesting for me.
First, after learning how to punch, the forms and kicks properly, Aizawa taught us why this was practical.
Against lower level thugs, guiding their mindset into thinking they are doing fine and letting them be comfortable is important.
For example, purposely throwing a right-hook, to lead the opponent into a left leg kick.
By basically manipulating their mindset like this, we will be able to fight against low level crooks easily without causing too much damage.
He said this would be especially useful for me and Midoriya, since our attacks do sufficient damage to our surroundings, and a part of the job of being a Hero in a non-emergency situation is to keep the environment in good condition.
He was completely honest though, explaining how this was a disadvantage for Hero, since we have to look out for more than just defeating our opponent.
Where the civilians are, how we damage our environment, to not hurt the villain too much, for our attacks not to look too crude or crude so we can build popularity as a Hero.
After about 2 hours, Midoriya and I were worn out, but we still showered and went to attend classes.
Aizawa said we would not need to spar till we learnt the basics, and that we would need to add out quirks into our training until then, since the quirks have to be a multiplication to our style of fighting, not just an addition to it.
We then attend morning classes, being English, mathematics and science.
Well, I really need to pay attention in classes, since I really don't understand what is going on. Especially English.
I have always been good at Mathematics, so I am fine with mathematics, but for science and English I am going to have to work harder.
Honestly, Physics seems really interesting. To be able to create such unique things in this technologically advanced world is good, but it is pretty obvious that the world has gotten too used to quirks, since there is plenty of stuff in the world that could have been more advanced.
I might actually have to look into this. If I am able to gain better equipment which supports my quirk, I will definitely be way stronger.
"Midoriya, why do you look so tired?" Uraraka asked as we were all walking to the canteen together.
"Well you see, I decided to start training my fitness a bit more and went to train with Luffy-San in the gym in the morning…" Midoriya said.
Momo hearing this said," Wow, training before school starts? Must have been super tiring. What time did you start? Considering school starts at 8.45 you probably started around 7 huh."
"Yeah and what type of training did you do to be so tired?" Ida asked as he walked with us.
"We did cardio and some Kick-Boxing with Aizawa sensei…and it was more like 5am." Midoriya said, mumbling the last part.
"5am?! Jesus, how early did you wake up?" Kirishima asked as he walked with us.
As those few started to talk with each other, I walked up to Shouji (duplicate arms guy) and asked him," Hey man, you look like you work out. I was thinking about getting a gym buddy, wanna go together?"
He seemed to think for a bit, as he asked," Sure, I don't mind. Which gym do you workout at?"
"I just started working out at the school's gym. I don't know if you tried it but apparently it has everything and even if it does not you can order it." I replied.
"I'm down. What are you working out on today?" He asks.
I took out my phone to open my email. Yagi said that he would send me a detailed plan by lunch time.
I opened it, to see Aizawa agreeing to my observation Haki training plan. It seems like he was able to get permission to build the special thing I wanted. I told him it was to train my dodging skills and he agreed.
The email after that was Yagi's detailed training plan, which said today was chest day first.
"Chest." I replied, putting my phone away.
"Sweet." He replied.
"If you're working out, can I join too? I was thinking that if I strengthen my body, my quirk will also react better." Kirishima asked, as he joined us as well.
I certainly did not mind. I would not mind having more people join as long as I can get an efficient work out.
As much as the world says otherwise, some of these kids' quirks have really good potential. Kirishima's is an example, if he is able to get as hard as diamond, or maybe something tougher like Tungsten, he will be a completely overpowered tank.
Shouji himself has a decent quirk, if he is able to work out and get stronger even more, he will definitely be more useful.
While most of them don't have the potential of All Might, they do at least have the potential to be a top 100 ranking hero.
This is supposed to be the best of the best after all.
Well, as long as you had a basic quirk, you could train it to a good state after all.
When we reached the cafeteria, my food was already prepared by lunch rush and I just had to swipe my student ID card, I did not have to pay.
No one really realized, or cared, since the food from the school was already apparently sold at cost.
After eating, we went back to class, and Izuku told me he invited Ida to the morning cardio training, as we had planned early.
We then reached the classroom and waited.
"I am entering the door, LIKE A NORMAL PERSON!" All Might shouted as he entered the door.
