"I beg your pardon?"

Lucien asked after a brief moment of silence. Her finger lightly tapped on her arm which was wrapped across her chest. She was trying to keep calm, hoping not to throw the table which was in front of her.

The smashed table lamp on the ground which was beside Efthalia was now taken away by Jeriah. He sighs. There wasn't any space where he could squeeze in to interrupt their conversation.

Jeriah had filled Efthalia's cup which had gone empty. There were cookies placed on the table and he was enjoying biting on every bite of it. Lucien, of course, her gaze was on his hand who would keep on picking the cookies.

'Is he not even serious about this conversation?'

"Let me repeat again since you weren't paying attention." He sips his tea without making a slurping sound. "It's been a week since I have been here and If I didn't appear at the given time I have mentioned, I am sure my men wouldn't stand still."
