To Giselle's surprise, it was not Alexsander at all that appeared in the bedroom entry. It was her handsome son, Deacon.
In his arms, he held a humongous bouquet of heirloom roses and other flowers from the garden. His lips held a smile that could charm a hive of angry honeybees.
He still looked so innocently sweet to Giselle as he stood there in his uniform, waiting for her to invite him in for their weekly visit.
Giselle waved for him to enter the room. "Don't stand out there all day staring," she said. "Get in here and see your mother."
As he proudly strode into the room, she gave him a loving smile and patted the side of her bed. Giselle giggled as he finally relaxed, handing the flowers over the Evangeline.
He bounced on the bed to lie down beside his mother like he did every time they had the chance to see one another.
"I m-m-missed you M-m-momma," he stammered, kissing Giselle on her cheek.
The trials of being a boy mom...We want them to stay little for longer, but they manage to grow too fast.
