In addition to Kane and Giselle, Sir Nash and Deacon entered the castle at Northbrook. According to Lord Alexsander's command, the knights had begun cleaning up from their travels and reported to the armory.
There was a buzz of energy and chatter in the castle. Kane smelled the aroma of roast beef as the staff carried trays past him to feed the returning knights. He was tired and would skip the meal for now.
After climbing the stairs, Kane headed straight for his room. It was time for him to take a bath and get some sleep. He would deal with everything else later. The stiffness in his body dissipated, and his anxious heart calmed when he saw Giselle and Deacon were okay.
With his family's safety assured, he could finally relax for a bit.

Collin held out an almond branch from the description he was given, asking, "Sir Nash, is this what you were searching for?"
Taking the bare branch in his hand, Sir Nash examined it carefully.
I am so sorry to all my readers and fans. I woke up sick yesterday and it has only become worse. This is not normal for me. Thank you all so much for staying with me.
