章 131: MARKED - PART 1
Christopher finished shaving and left the bath to dress. He also did it to give Rose privacy and some space. His mood had soured, and he did not want her to see him this way. Especially since their morning had been so peaceful.
The thoughts of the violence Rose must have endured were unimaginable. The Lord had a heart-shattering ache in his chest. He could not stand looking at what had been done to his little lark. Chris wondered how she had survived such heinous acts against her person.
He dressed in his custom-tailored suit and black cravat. His hair was now neatly combed back, and The Lord wiped his leather shoes clean with a kerchief. His thoughts were still stuck on the condition of Rose's body as he finished wearing his clothes.
