Kinsley's POV
Terron and Lucas are trying to be calm, like approaching a baby deer in the woods, but it’s hard to say if it’s working. My legs are rattling even when I sit down, my hands turning over in my lap until I see red pressure marks forming from my gripping strength.
It’s easier to talk when I stare at Terron, his lips are curled in a hopeful smile but his eyes are raging storms similar to the ones outside the house.
“Alpha Jonathan asked if their deal was still okay when he handed me over to Ace,” I say, shivering all over. “Ace said they were still good and they went their separate ways.”
“What was the deal for?” Lucas says, more so pondering to himself, but I still feel obliged to reply.
“Ace said because I am an Alpha’s daughter because it is a rare and powerful bloodline, he wanted me to shift and go into heat so we could mate.” I flinch, not sure why, but end up burying my face in my hands. “He wanted the ultimate bloodline.”
