章 156: Chapter 152 - Jeju Island Raid Finale
Back in Korea, within an apartment where inside were a family watching the news where the Jeju Island Raid began to turn for the worse when an unknown monster arrived. A handsome and muscular middle-aged man with gray eyes, shaggy black hair, and slight facial hair. His eyes glowed bright yellow intently watching the news.
'The Monarch is taking action…I should go and help them but…'
He was Sung il-Hwan, Sung Jin Woo's father and another vessel for the rulers feeling helpless, unable to offer help as he looked at the people beside him.
To his right was a slender middle-aged woman with long black hair, slight wrinkles, gray eyes, and a small burn scar on the left side of her neck. She was his wife Park Kyung-Hye.
To his left was a slender teenage girl with gray eyes and brownish-black hair that she typically wears in a ponytail. His daughter Sung Jin-ah who was anxiously watching the footage.
'Will Oppa be alright?'
She thought to herself watching the Livestream and was worried for her brother's safety then the camera turned to look at an object flying as massive dust exploded where crater was force where soon the dust cleared and the camera zoom in allowing them to see a handsome young man with long hair reaching his shoulder wearing a black coat holding a muscular tanned man with long wild black hair and animal skins for an outfit.
It seemed to roar and strike the young man sending him several feet while the humanoid monster stood up releasing a massive wave of magical energy that manifested like a primal and feral beast.
Jin-Ah couldn't help but be drawn by the look of the handsome young man who landed on his feet then dusted himself as if nothing had happened.
Meanwhile, in the battlefield Ryuu unfazed by the ferocious power that the Beast monarch was releasing and dusted the dirt from his coat.
"Do you have any idea that this thing is expensive?"
Ryuu sighed then opened his eyes where claws were inches away from his face but he was able to dodge as the Beast monarch swiped his claws slicing the nearby building while Ryuu did a run house kick as he dodge where the beast Monarch blocked.
He grabbed him by the legs threw him into the building while rushing in using all four limbs appearing in front of Ryuu within a split seconds using this claws to tear him down only to be stabbed by blades that had chains in the end dug deep into his shoulder as Ryuu pulled himself kicking the beast monarch straight it's chest launching the two of them in the ground creating yet another crater.
Ryuu stepped back only for his legs to be wounded by Beast monarch as he land on his fist while his enemy cleared dust with a single swipe showing his hand with his blood.
{ Hahahaha as expected of an anomaly you are strong but nothing close to me! The king of the beast, the beast Monarch! }
It roared, turning himself into a werewolf beast where his speed was fast enough for him to appear behind Ryuu who turned to block using his blade sending him several dozen feet while his legs purposely bled. He then used his chain blade throwing them towards the Beast monarch who deflected with his arms before rushing towards Ryuu.
"Fifth Form, Raging God Wheel."
Ryuu twists the body before executing circular slashes that slice through anything that close causing the Beast monarch to step back but was wounded in the process. He controlled the blade by running mana and Aura through it allowing him to control it.
[ Aura awakened into Armament Haki ]
In that moment his arms seem to darken, having gained the ability for Armament Haki from One piece. Ryuu was surprised a bit and understood that it might be due to the fact the job system draws its inspiration across the Omniverse, not just Death mage.
'Different yet the same.'
He regenerated his wounded legs before using [ Koku Shundo ] to rush towards the Beast monarch who summoned a blade blocking his attack.
{ You are strong for humans but I wonder how long you'll last!? }
Ryuu saw it increased his speed and did the same as they appeared invisible where only streak was seen and the aftermath of their attack. The beast monarch sent a flurry of swinging his claws and destroying the buildings while Ryuu used his technique to continue fighting.
The Beast Monarch's movement and attack were so unpredictable that Ryuu had a hard time deflecting all of them and endup being wounded across his body. This made the Beast Monarch lick its teeth tasting his blood relishing seeing him all bloody.
Those who watched Ryuu were horrified as he seemed to struggle to keep up fighting the monster.
Cha Hae-in was watching and wanted to rush towards him and help but being there would only result in getting in his way. She couldn't help but pray for Ryuu to win against his opponent.
'If he loses then we are all dead.'
Tawata watches as well anxiously looking at Ryuu who should have passed out with the amount of blood he had lost. The whole world watches wondering if he could even win now that he is heavily wounded.

The Beast monarch was monologuing when his arm suddenly was cut off and soon felt dread causing him to step back feeling his primal instinct as beast to prostrate himself before the entity that was about to arrive.
He regrow his limbs and looked intently at Ryuu who stood up dusting himself off and shocked to see that his wounds were nowhere to be found.
The beast monarch was confused knowing that the wound he inflicted shouldn't be healed that easily. He watched as Ryuu's eyes glow red, turning his attention to the helicopter and back to the Beast monarch whose hair raised, feeling something was about to happen.
"I was trying my best to hold back and see how I fair but I guess this is my limit."
Ryuu shook his head disappointed that he couldn't hold back anymore while the Beast Monarch felt immense anger when he heard him holding back and had been treating him as nothing more than a toy.
{ You dare underestimate me!! }
Beast monarch leaped once more only to be slammed into the ground while Ryuu shrouded himself with armor then his eyes changed its shape.
[ Byakugan awakened into Pure Byakugan. ]
He felt disappointed when he heard it yet something surprising happened and dodge when his eyes seem to see the possible future. Ryuu thought that it acted like the Almighty from Bleach but much weaker.
'Interesting….is this my power or is it canon? Regardless, this is neat.'
Ryuu shifted his arms into claws while the Beast Monarch stood back and launched towards him but he swiped his claws forcing him to step back and swing his claws at the same time as Ryuu yet this time he was at the receiving end.
His attack was faster and more precise than before while the Beast Monarch felt like he was growing weaker and was confused.
"What? Confused? Well it's your fault for drinking my blood. Perhaps if only you don't have a physical body then it won't work that easily. But in the end you're just a dog who doesn't know its place."
Ryuu's eyes glowed as the Beast Monarch witnessed a primal force radiating from his energy. He was the beast and savagery is his nature yet Ryuu's power is the living embodiment of it.
He obviously couldn't fight the Beast monarch head on and had been busy trying to infect him with as much of his blood and plagues weakening him. Ryuu would have had a harder time if the beast monarch didn't have a body and his [ Soul Magic ] is too weak to affect him.
Regardless, Ryuu had already won the moment he tasted his blood. The Beast Monarch seeing his impending doom decided to flee but soon realized the space was lock.
{ What!? How can human lock the space of an entire island that is reinforced by magic and still keep up with me!? }
He roared, frustrated that someone had cornered him and his pride was being tarnished by him. Ryuu laughs like Alucard hearing something foolish from the Beast Monarch.
"Good! That's how a dog should act! Bark for me!!"
Ryuu roared in excitement, enjoying how the Beast Monarch was acting. He was annoyed that he tried to attack Cha Hae-In like a coward. It was disappointing to see the beast monarch do sneak attacks.
The Beast Monarch was in rage from his works and turned itself into an enormous wolf sending a wave of pressure around him. Ryuu took out [ Yamato ] and took a stance before slicing the head of the beast monarch, instantly killing it.
His body soon starts to disintegrated while Ryuu walk his way into the rune stone made by the Beast Monarch.
