*Sigh* I know it would be like this…

Looking at the enraged Zephyr, Cade really could not do anything.

After all, he had long foreseen things would develop like this. And for now, all he could do was to try and pacify Zephyr. Else, things would get more troublesome.

He put Lake behind him and stood between Lake and Zephyr.

" Brat, you know my story, right? In that case, if you could not give me any suitable explanation, you should know what I would do." Zephyr glared. His fist was clenched, and black armament Hakir began to shroud it.

The appearance of Black Arm Zephyr, one that had spread fear and terror in the eyes of pirates, once again resurfaced.

Even Ain and Vivi, two women who looked concerned about both Cade and Zephyr, could only pray for the best for both of them.

Cade's eyes met Zephyr's.

For the first time since they met, Cade felt the horror of Zephyr. Nonetheless, it was not the time to back down.

Still, right here was not a good place to talk. Even if the Cp9 was already under him, there were still some topics that were not good if too many people knew about them.

Cade brought Zephyr, Vivi, and Ain toward his office. And for Lake, he could only put him in the hand of Cp9 first.

" So that's basically what happened."

Sitting inside his office, Cade had just finished explaining matters to Zephyr.

From Lake undercover role, to his plan of expanding Illusion brothel by using the pirates and some of his special abilities.

Of course, Cade did not really tell Zephyr all his secrets. But to establish a good relationship, a basic means of trust was still needed.

Zephyr frowned. He seemed to be thinking hard about what he had just heard.

" You are not lying against me, aren't you, brat?" Zephyr's eyes narrowed, to which Cade hurriedly shook his head.

A devil fruit that could grow stronger by absorbing a person's mental power?

Such a thing would be way too dangerous. In case this was heard by the World Government, they would have long made a buster call toward the Sullivan Kingdom.

However, Zephyr had personally felt the power that Cade mentioned.

Though the ability seemed wicked, the most it could do was to make the absorbed person feel tired and nothing more. In fact, the absorption of mental power could be said as negligible, and since Zephyr had a basic grasp on Cade's character, he decided to trust Cade this one time.

Looking at Cade looking at him back with clear eyes, Zephyr finally let things be.

Especially because he knew Cade did not have any secret dealings with the pirates. Rather, he used Lake to pacify the pirates in the surrounding area.

In this case, he could also see that Lake was pretty successful. After all, since he came here, he had not seen many pirates come and visit the Sullivan Kingdom.

'Maybe, this was not that bad of a plan. A Pirate undercover, even the Marines sometimes used this idea.' Zephyr thought and calmed down a bit.

" *Sigh* I'll try to trust you, kid. So don't let me down."

Zephyr said, which made Cade feel relief. It was as if a huge burden was taken from his shoulder.

But then, Zephyr's eyes glimmered when he thought about what Cade had said before.

" Kid, tell me more about your plan?"

"Um" Cade nodded before he talked more about his plan.

Previously, he had told Zephyr about how his ability could be used to handle pirates. But it was just a rough draft.

Now, he was talking about the possibilities of his ability.

" It is just a guess. But I feel if my mental power could gain a bit more upgrade, then I could do some things that I haven't been able to do before."

The things that Cade talked about here were to insert a consciousness into his illusion and let them be his eyes and ear. Or to make it simpler, his illusion could be some kind of shadow clone for him.

Until now, he could do this, but he must control them personally. And for more than hundreds of customers each day, Cade naturally wouldn't have the time to do this.

But he had a feeling that once he broke through the 1000 threshold, there was no need for them manually anymore.

Zephyr nodded and thought for a bit.

If this was really the case, then Cade's ability would really be the bane of pirates.

Zephyr pondered for a bit whether he should really do this, but in the end, he decided to take the bets.

Whether this would be for a better future or not, Zephyr had decided to place his hope in the boy in front of him.

" Humph, then that's easy. Boy, don't worry. I'll handle things for you."

Zephyr said, which made Cade's eyes light up.

" Mr. Zephyr, you…"

" Yes. Even though I had long retired, my influence in the marine could not even be compared to that little brat Tokikake. Just sit down in your room and wait. In a few days, the Illusion device would take the Marine Headquarters like a storm." Zephyr boldly declared before he led Ain to leave the office.
