章 33: Seeking Information

Varya took a long shower and sat on the bed with the prince's blanket up to her shoulders. The side of the blanket once over his side of the bed faintly smelled of him and she pressed her nose into it. She wondered if she would see him again before the scent faded - not wanting to ever forget what he smelled like.

There was a noise on the other side of her door and she was immediately on edge. She could hear the distinct sound of the door being unlocked and held her breath until she saw who it was.

Armis had returned to her and someone behind her was carrying a tray of food. Without asking if they could come in, Armis pushed the door open and gestured for the person to leave the food at the table and go.

When it was just the two women in the room, Armis crossed her arms and looked toward Varya.
