章 26: 17: The Everyday Life of Hades (III)

Previously:

Magic is not the only divinity that he gained in all those years. He had trained in the arts of many things, like weapons, desire, and graveyards but he had also gained one of the strongest divinities…

Divinity of…

Above the clouds stands a city called the Netherlands. And in the center of that city is a mansion, the home of Hades the god of that realm. This god currently stood on the highest peak of that realm. He occupied the balcony of a high tower, which was part of his mansion. The tower was made of stone and at the summit there was a place where one could look at the entire realm. Hades extended his palm.

A golden light flickered, and a multitude of strings materialized. Together they weaved the rules of everything. Life glimmered in the expanse of the strings as it slowly took shape. The strings were forming a black mist. And then after some time, it revealed itself to the world.

It was a big but short and stocky bird with a large head and almost no neck. It was the size of a giant and its feathers were completely covered in darkness. Its round eyes were blazing with a golden light that radiates pureness.

The creature was a mystical beast, created by one of the most powerful beings. It looked like a black screech owl, one of Hades' symbols.

The two beings looked at each other before a deep yet gentle voice reverberated like a symphony. It sounded like a thick oak tree and a flute. "Hello father!" said the newborn.

"Asudelos" spoke Hades. His voice announced the birth of a monster, his first mystical beast.

"Asudelos…. Is that my name, father?" asked the bird, tilting his head slightly. It looked cute. But appearances can be deceiving. For this beast was a predator. An apex creature that would later roam the vast sky, like it owned the place.

"It is," replied the god. His gaze was fixed on his creation. It was much more than success. The bird radiated power. A not so simple power.

Hades focused on his own soul. It was an ethereal body that looked like a humanoid being, but it had some strange characteristics.

As a being's soul reaches a certain 'power' it takes a shape. Human souls, however, are just a ball of dim light surrounded by mist that resembles the shape they had in life.

A shapeless, colorless wave twinkled in his soul. The only way to describe it would be a mix of crimson and whiteish golden.

Hades smiled. He had gained another divinity. He was not sure how. But he knew this was a positive thing. He had gained the power he had mistakenly given Asudelos.

Infernal angelity.

A mix of angel power and demon power. This was a miracle, how something like this could exist. It was a power on par with creation and destruction.

Asudelos was destined to become strong with a power like this.

After some time of waiting for his father to say something Asudelos spoke. "Why did you create me, father?".

Hades gazed at Asudelos before saying "You are the watcher and guardian of this realm. Go fly and see your home"

Asudelos nodded and extended his wings before flapping them. He flew around the city. He found out that the city was on a floating rock. Apart from Hades' mansion, there was another high building in the city. It was a colossal castle made of what looked like gold and red rock. There were also many small houses that were huddled together like a nest. He could see some beings, with a black body and blue or purple particles floating around them as they appeared and disappeared in other places.

He then looked at the ghastly clouds. Asudelos could feel there was something down there. He flew higher and then swoosh he fell at a speed he had never gone before through the clouds.

And there he saw it. A gigantic island surrounded by a green and blue river that encircled it. On the water there was a ship with a torn flag. There was also a purple crystal forest and on the opposite side of it stood three statues. The island was full of many colors, brown, blue and red.

On the right side stood a gigantic gate that was light brown and gold. While in the center of it roamed some monsters. They seemed not to belong to Asudelos' father, but he asked himself why they were still there as they were much weaker than Hades.

There were also stairs that seemed to reach beyond the clouds. It was probably the path to the Netherlands. Asudelos flew toward it and followed the stairs. Some beings with distinctly different appearances tried to climb them.

Asudelos was curious if this was difficult to climb because for him it was as easy as breathing. Were they so weak? he asked himself.

But then a voice rang in his mind. 'Come back I need to present you to some people' said the voice that Asudelos recognized as his father.

He flew through a window and arrived in a room. The floor was made of dark wood. In the back of the room was a fireplace. There was also some sofas and a few chairs. On a black and emerald, green sofa was his father sitting.

"Yes, father?" asked Asudelos watching the other individual in the room with his father.

In Hades' hand was a bulky brown book. He looked over the book at the others and said, "Present yourself to our new inhabitant. His name is Asudelos."

So, a figure behind Hades with medium-length black hair and wings stepped forward and smiled. "Welcome Asudelos. I am Thanatos, god of death and Butler," he said.

The bird nodded and said "Hello, I am Asudelos guardian of this realm."

Afterwards, the others presented themselves. There was a beautiful woman who was also nice with red hair. Another woman with orange eyes and black hair. There were also three winged beings, who were called the Furies. A blue-skinned god who was half asleep and was the twin of Thanatos. Two of the black beings with particles that he previously saw. Asudelos learned that they were the King and Queen of the Endermans, their race.

As the young bird asked them what Hades was if they were the King of their race, the woman responded with a chuckle that he was their god, nothing more, nothing less.

There was also a black-haired woman with some sort of silver armor. Her name was Nemesis and she said she was the goddess of justice.

Asudelos, however, found someone else to be the most interesting of all of them. He had long pink hair, long teeth that came from the lower part of his mouth but ended above his mouth. He had pale pinkish skin and red glowing eyes. On his head was a thin golden crown. He wore royal red and white cloths.

He said his name was Technoblade and he was the king of the Netherlands. It was he who lived in the castle near Hades' mansion.

Anyway, after that Hades called Asudelos out and said he had to present him to his comrade, who was also a guardian. Well, more like a keeper.

The two of them walked toward a tall mountain near the green and blue river. An enormous being lay there. His father said it was a dragon and her name was Jean?.

Her voice sounded really charming as she greeted the god of the Underworld.

"H-Hello" said Asudelos.

She looked at him for a few seconds before responding "hello" with no interest. It was as if, if Hades weren't here, she wouldn't even acknowledge his existence.

Asudelos did not know why. But seeing how she looked at him like he was nothing. How her purple eyes glowed like the eyes of his father. His body seemed hot. He looked at her and thought.

'She will be mine'.
