*Narrator pov*
In the heart of wintry Britain, as night descends and the wind unleashes its haunting symphony, the atmosphere takes on a dark and ominous tone. The landscape is cloaked in shadows, the moon casting a pale glow upon the frost-kissed earth. Trees stand silhouetted against the inky sky, their bare branches rattling in the icy gusts. Snowflakes swirl through the air like spectral dancers, their whispers lost in the howling of the wind. Amidst the chilling embrace of winter, there's a sense of dangerous magic lingering with a savage ambiance.
In the heart of the countryside stands a grand manor. Its lights glow warmly against the backdrop of the wintry night, casting inviting beams into the darkness. Inside, the rooms are aglow with flickering candles and crackling hearths, creating an illusion of warmth and comfort. Yet, within the walls of the manor, its inhabitants remain unaware of the looming threat that hangs heavy in the air.
In a different location not far off from the manor a different manor was present, its gates were closed to visitors, and its lights were off. A feeling of bloodlust seemed to ooze from the manor walls.
Inside the manor a meeting was taking place, men and women wearing silver skull masks gathered as a group waiting for their lord to enter.
*fwoosh* the floo burned a bright green flame as Tom Riddle also known as Voldemort strode through, his robes billowing behind him casting a large imposing shadow.
The lean man walked gracefully before the gathered death eaters, "Tonight," he whispered causing them to silence, "Tonight we lay siege to a family that has abandoned its cause, abandoned the true meaning of being pure. They refuse my invitations and laugh in the face of our cause, we will show them and anyone sympathetic to the Rosier family what it means to defy me," although he did not shout Tom's voice was commanding
The death eaters took a knee before their lord, "When shall we depart?" the head death eater asked
"Soon," Voldemort mused, "First tell me of the manor," he ordered
"Of course sir," the same death eater said, "The Rosier manor has basic protection wards, Anti Apparation, portkey, floo, and alert wards for protection. We weren't able to gather anything to see if there were attack wards or diagrams but for the raid, we will assume so the Rosier family is quite old,"
"Plan of attack?" Voldemort asked
"Using the ward stones you procured we will first put them around the manor and erect our own wards to prevent them from fleeing the manor. The wards won't last long so we must attack immediately," The death eater explained
Voldemort nodded approvingly a smile etched upon his lips his red eyes seemed to dance with delight at the notion of destroying the Rosier family.
"Good prepare to set out," he ordered gleefully
"We are ready my lord," was the prompt response
"Good," Voldemort smiled he was beginning to like these minions
The dark lord along with his hit squad began to disappear In black smoke one by one approaching the Rosier manor speedily.
Lord Voldemort, his gaunt figure draped in flowing robes, led a squad of Death Eaters with silent determination. Their eyes gleamed with malice as they approached Rosier Manor, their dark intentions veiled by the cloak of night.
With whispered incantations, Voldemort and his followers placed ward stones around the perimeter of the manor, sealing off any chance of escape for Lord Rosier and his kin. The stones pulsate with dark energy, forming an impenetrable barrier that binds the manor like chains of despair.
As they advance, the Death Eaters move with calculated precision, their movements synchronized with the rhythm of their master's will. With each step, the air crackles with anticipation, the very essence of magic bending to Voldemort's command.
Within the manor walls, Lord Rosier and his household remain blissfully unaware of the impending doom that descends upon them. But outside, in the cold embrace of the night, Voldemort and his Death Eaters stand ready to unleash chaos upon Rosier Manor, their dark intentions poised to shatter the fragile peace of the night.
As the ward stones were being set far away from the impending raid Morpheus adorned with a silver mask stood playing the violin the music seemed to possess, the tune slow and melodic and seemed to usher an impending doom.
Under the cover of darkness, Lord Voldemort and his Death Eaters descend upon Rosier Manor like vengeful shadows. With a wordless command, they breach the wards and surged forward, their dark robes billowing behind them as they unleashed chaos upon the unsuspecting household.
With a thunderous crash, the doors of the manor are blasted open, splintering into a shower of shards. Voldemort's chilling laughter echoed through the halls as his followers poured inside, their wands ablaze with malevolent magic.
The tune and movements of Morpheus began to rapidly increase.
Lucas Rosier gripped his wand standing alertly in his study, his hand for some reason palming the coin he was sent before.
Evan Rosier awoke with a start his hand reaching for his wand as he heard the commotion from outside his door.
*Bam!* his door burst open revealing Lucas Rosier, "They breached the defense wards, the attack wards will only keep them occupied for a short time," he said angrily
"Who has!?" Evan asked in alarm
"The new dark lord," Lucas growled, "The floo system is down and we can't apparate either, hold this and say 'safe'" he threw a pouch to Evan
"SAFE!" Evan yelled and nothing happened
"Anti Portkey?" Lucas growled in frustration, "Just how thoroughly did they prepare?!"
"Boy, we will have to fight stand at the stairs, aim to kill," Lucas ordered storming out of the room
Evan followed his father, the boy's heart pounded in his chest.
The tune increased once more.
Lucas Rosier stood at the top of the stairs, "BOMBARDA, REDUCTO, REDUCTO!" Lucas Rosier roared at the group of approaching dark wizards
The once peaceful manor was drowned in violence the two Rosiers were trying their hardest to defend their position at the top of the stairs but the hit squad was prepared.
"Avada Kedavra!" Lucas yelled killing another death eater
"Reducto!" Evan yelled reducing another to paste
"HAHAHAAHHA!" the mad cackling of Voldemort could be heard as he approached them batting away any oncoming spells
Lucas turned to cast another spell but his wand flung away from his hand, "Don't you think you should have taken my offer now?" Voldemort asked with a manic smile
The faraway tune became erratic.
Before Lucas could reply he felt the coin begin to heat in his hand, "Bloody hell screw it," he cursed throwing the coin to the side
The coin began to shift much like a portkey would before a man in a silver mask appeared at the top of the stairs. He held a violin in his hand and his playing was erratic, his movements ghastly and unnatural. Voldemort scoffed, "Avada Kedavra," the green spell of death never reached him as a piece of rubble intercepted the blow
The music became foreboding and seemed to fill the manor with dread, "Who are you?" Voldemort asked
Before Voldemort could demand an answer he heard a scream of terror behind him "AHHHHH!" whirling around he saw his soldiers ripping off their masks and wailing in pain as blood dripped from their eyes
Then their ears,
Then their noses,
Then their pores.
Voldemort whirled around, "Avada Kedavra! Avada Kedavra! Avada Kedavra!" he yelled over and over each time it was stopped or dodged
The dark lord screamed in rage as Lucas and a nervous Evan appeared behind the silver-masked man and began to attack once more.
Voldemort gritted his teeth before yelling, "Retreat!" the stronger death eaters were able to hobble out of the house barely defending themselves from the rosiers as blood poured from their orfices
The weaker death eaters were left stranded screaming in pain.
