章 43: The Purifiers

King reached the two men and for a whole minute the three of them stood silent, each of them taking a visual assessment of the other. "Do you have a death wish?" Peter's voice broke the lingering silence.

"Not now Peter, we shouldn't treat a visitor with such hostility" Came Hollister's words,"Now what do you want?" He asked.

King hesitated for a bit, searching for the appropriate words to use. He knew that any wrong sentence could end his life and wasn't ready to die yet. "Why are you doing this?"

"Why?" Hollister returned. "Why not?"

King stood speechless while looking for the right answer to that question. "We protect people, we're the good guys" He answered hoping the men would realize that and have a change of heart.
