It has been 2 months now since my parents and I started living on the farm. Everything has been going well for the most part. Maggie and I have been going really strong. We've been going on our 'supply run' to town weekly, and having an occasional fling on the farm.
Otis hurt his leg about 5 weeks ago and he still hasn't recovered so Hershel put me in charge of hunting. I had no problem with it. It allowed me more freedom to do what I want throughout the day, and it gave me a good excuse to be in the woods and practice my nature sense, where it's the easiest to control. I've become pretty proficient with it, but I can tell I'm not even close to mastering it. Which is weird because everything else I have ever done has come easy. But, with that said it is a nice change of pace.
Hunting in the woods also let me practice with my axes and spears, and ever since I found these axes I've been carrying them around wherever I go. I put two metal loops on my belt for the axes to slide into, and whenever I went hunting I would bring the longer spear.
Another pleasant surprise I found when I was hunting, I have been able to erase my presence. I'm damn near 7 feet tall, and 350 pounds when I start running full-bore through the woods it should sound like a herd of elephants, but I make little to no noise now. As well as it seems when I don't want to be seen, I can't be seen. I found this out when I was stalking a deer and I was able to get close enough to snap it's neck without it knowing. But, killing the deer like that left a bad taste in my mouth so I've stuck with just using my spear after that. Now, it's not like I turn invisible or anything, but it's like the trees are helping me blend in. I would imagine if someone was looking really hard, then they might be able to see me.
There's been more of the dead in the woods lately, and in the beginning it was extremely hard to control my rage, when they trespass and taint my land with their death and decay, but over time it's gotten easier to keep a clear mind when slaughtering them. Over my 'battles', the first few groups of the dead I fought were sloppy, but now their tainted blood no longer gets on me. Also I've gotten extremely accurate with my axes and spears when I throw them.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I started to yawn and stretch, "Aw, fuck. This bed is so comfy." I rolled over and got out of bed. I got dressed with just a simple black tee, boxers, blue jeans and my socks and boots. Grabbed my belt off the ground by the bed and put it on as well as my metal loops for my axes.
I walked out of the back room and grabbed my axes off the dining table and slid them in the loops. Time to start the day, as I was walking outside I grabbed my spear by the door. Once out of my RV, I stretched again and started to walk to the woods.
Once in the woods I decided I would expand my grounds since I've been keeping close to home. About 2 miles into my trek I felt a dead one. So I took off running to it because I could feel it wasn't moving so it piqued my interest. I got close and saw a tent, and as I got closer I could hear the dead one so I got my spear ready. It turned out to be for nothing because when I saw it, I just shook my head. The dead one hung himself and his lower half had been chewed up, most likely by other dead ones. I put it out of its misery with a simple spear strike directly to the head, as I pulled it out I flicked the spear to get the blood off. And, then I stuck my spear in the ground and pulled an axe out and chopped the rope on the tree resulting in the dead one falling to the ground.
I peeked my head into the tent and saw a snub nose revolver on the ground, I grabbed it and checked to see if it had bullets. It only had 3 bullets left, but I saw 4 on the ground by the sleeping bag. So, I took out the spent casings and put 3 bullets in, putting the last one in my pocket. Then I tucked the revolver in my waistband behind me.
Out of nowhere I felt a couple of live auras enter the woods near me I could tell by the size, one was a child. Then I felt 3 dead. Seems, they are being chased.
I was able to quell the rage, but I still went to check it out. I ran as fast as I could because they were about 3 miles away. I got ahead a little of the 2 people, one was a small girl and one looked a tad younger than my dad. I heard the man say, "Keep running, Sophia!" as they passed me. I stayed where I was at because I was going to dispatch the dead.
*POV CHANGE RICK'S"
Fuck, "Keep running, Sophia!" I need to find a spot she can hide so I can distract the walkers.
As we were running, I looked behind me, and said "Sophia, stop!" We both came to a halt because I didn't see any of the walkers that were chasing us. I was interrupted out of my thoughts when I heard bells ring, "Sophia, I don't see any of those monsters so we are going to go back the way we came from. Those bells will bring more monsters so we need to get away from the sound."
We started to back track and a few minutes later I found the walkers that were chasing us. They were on the ground with half their head laying a few feet away. I started to look around the trees to see if I saw who did this. I didn't see anybody, and I noticed it was too quiet, I couldn't hear any animals near us. I felt like I was being watched by a predator.
We really need to get out of the woods now, we're not alone. People are more dangerous than walkers.
We hurried out of the woods and met Daryl about to head in after us, "We shouldn't go back in there."
Daryl asked, "Why, what happened?"
I saw Carol running down to us and Sophia took off to meet her mom. I looked back at Daryl who was looking at me, waiting for an answer, "We were running away from those walkers and I noticed they weren't behind us anymore so we double backed, and we found them dead with their heads in two pieces. Someone or something was watching us."
Daryl was about to say something when I heard Lori shout, "Carl!"
I ran up the little hill to the highway and ran to Lori, "Lori, what's wrong? Where's Carl?"
She said, "I don't know, he was with me then I looked away then he was gone. I think he went in the woods to help find Sophia."
"God damn it! It's not safe in there!"
She started to cry and choked out, "Why?"
I gestured for Daryl and Shane to follow me, "We don't have the time, we'll go find him." And we took off running to the woods.
As we were making our way through the woods, Daryl picked up his trail easily and we found him just rooted in place, staring at something. So, we walked up to him, and I asked "Carl, what the hell were you thinking son? It's not safe here."
Carl lifted his hand and pointed, "Dad, look."
I looked at to where he was pointing at and I saw one of the biggest bucks I've seen in person. It was only a humble 9 pointer, but it had to of weighed 200 pounds. That's heavy for a buck, he was a big boy.
Daryl raised his crossbow, but I saw Carl start to inch over to it with his hand out so I gestured for Daryl to put it down.
The buck didn't seem to care about us, and Carl was about 5 feet from it when we heard something else. Out of nowhere a spear went through it's neck and stopped about a foot in, instantly dropping the buck, must of hit the spine.
I pulled Carl back to me and I unholstered my revolver and Daryl and Shane had their weapons pointed where the spear came from. We didn't have to wait long, when a giant of a man came into view. He had to have been 7 feet easily, and he had long brown hair that with 2 braids on the sides. He had two axes on both hips, and started to walk over to us. He didn't seem phased by us holding our weapons on him, he walked past us and just said, "Mine."
He made it to the buck and pulled his spear out of its neck and flicked it to get the blood off and stuck it in the ground. Then without any struggling, he picked the buck up and put it over his shoulder and grabbed his spear and started to walk past us again.
I looked at Shane and Daryl and they were both as confused as I was. But, then I remembered the walkers that were chasing us, "Thank you for killing those walkers. That was you, wasn't it?"
The giant stopped and turned his head a little to look at me, "You call them walkers, I like that." Then he just started walking away again.
"Wait!" He stopped again, but didn't turn his head, "We have been on the road for so long. Do you have someplace safe? We would help out!"
He said, "It's not my call, but I'll see. I'll meet you guys on the highway tomorrow morning. You with the crossbow and you, deputies be safe." Then he walked away.
I looked at Shane, and Shane asked "How did he know we are deputies? We're not in uniform."
I just shook my head, "I don't know, but let's go back and make camp."
Shane asked, "But, why did you basically ask to join his group?"
Daryl looked at me too to hear my answer, "Well, he did save Sophia and I, I'm sure I would've been fine though, but.." He didn't finish, "So, that tells me he's a solid guy, and if we join his group that's more people to fight and survive with."
Daryl spoke first, "More mouths to feed."
I chuckled, "Yeah, but seeing as he has no problems catching food, it'll work out."
I looked over to see what Shane was doing, and he looked to be deep in thought, "What are you thinking about, Shane?"
He rubbed his chin, "That guy. He knows us, but I don't remember any gia..., oh fuck you remember Paul Alan?"
I shook my head no, "He used to come to the station sometimes, and he always talked about his son being so damn tall. That has to be his son, I think his name was Brock or something."
I made an oh face, "Oh yeah, I remember now, he showed us a picture that time. If his son is here that means Paul and his wife made it too."
Daryl seemed to lose interest in our conversation, so he said "We ready to leave or you wanna keep talking?"
"Lets head back."
*POV CHANGE TO BEAR*
I was already almost home after my little meet up with those King County deputies, Deputy Grimes, and Deputy Walsh. I need to take care of this deer real quick before I talk to Hershel.
I got the deer hung up. Time to talk to Hershel, about them possibly joining us. I think it would be a good idea since they were cops so they bring security to the table at least. And, my dad should know them.
I got to the house and luckily, Hershel and my dad were sitting on the front porch, "Just the two people I needed to talk to." I said as I was taking the empty chair by my dad.
My dad raised his eyebrows, but Hershel said, "What is it?"
Then I told them about my run in with the deputies. My dad spoke first, "Rick and Shane were decent cops, and good men. They could provide security or just help around here, but it's not up to me." He looked at Hershel.
Hershel cleared this throat, and said "I can see the benefit of having them stay here and help, but I would need to meet with them first."
I said, "I can bring them over in the morning."
Hershel replied, "That would work."
I decided to take my leave so they could discuss it further. I walked in the house to check up on my mom, she was in the kitchen with Annette and Maggie prepping dinner, "You guys need any help here?"
Annette said, "We're fine, dear. Thanks for checking."
I was about to respond, but Maggie butted in, "If we need any jars open, you're the first person we'll call." My mom and Annette just thought that was hilarious.
They were busy cutting vegetables on the counter and Maggie was on the other side by the sink so I walked over, lifted the back of her shirt and pulled her panties up. Then I performed a tactical retreat because she looked pissed. Was that childish? Yes, but fuck it. Of course she didn't say anything because our moms were right there.
*Early Morning The Next Day*
I woke up in the middle of the night because I felt someone approach the RV so I leaned up and checked my watch, it was 2:38. Then I heard a quiet knock on my door, so I got up and walked to the door. I peeked through the door window and saw it was Maggie, so I opened the door, "Maggie, what are you doing?" I said as I backed up so she could come in.
"I couldn't sleep so I figured I'd try your bed." Then without warning she ran to my bed and jumped in.
I rubbed my eyes, "Okay..."
I got back in bed, laying on my side to look at her, "Goodnight Maggie."
She started to inch her way over by my side, "Goodnight."
*AN: I'm done putting R18 warnings since at this point it should be expected due to the others ones, it's going to happen. Now, with that said don't expect R18 stuff every chapter, but it's going to be consistently through the fanfiction because I'm a degenerate and Maggie is a dime. This is the last warning.*
We started spooning and I closed my eyes, "Hey, Maggie?"
"Yeah?" she whispered.
"Can you stop rubbing your ass on my dick, I gotta get up early to meet that group on the highway."
"No."
I sighed, "You're still mad about the wedgie?"
She flipped over so we were face to face, "I'm going to get you back for that."
I opened my eyes to see her face an inch away from mine so I stole a kiss, "Good luck with that."
She put a hand on my stomach and started inching down to my waist, and said "Keeping you up right now is a start."
At this point she had my dick in her hand, and I said "You might want to work on your punishments." She started stroking it.
While she was giving me a hand job, I pulled her nightgown down so I could see her boobs. And, I started to suck on them. Then I put one hand up her nightgown and moved her panties to the side and started to rub her pussy. She let out a small moan.
After about a few minutes of that she pushed me to my back and got on top of me. She pulled her nightgown over her head and threw it behind her and took her panties off too. We started to make out, then she broke our kissing by leaning back and got on her feet in a crouching position. She put a hand on my dick and lined it up with herself, then she slowly started to sit on it. We both let a moan out. I was playing with her boobs while she was slowly going up and down on my dick. Eventually she was tired of going slow, so she sped up, but I assisted by thrusting everytime she was coming down and I had my hands on both hips pulling down. She couldn't be quiet now this time, and with the sound of her ass cheeks slapping my thighs everytime, we were already pretty loud. But, to muffle her moans I moved my hands to her back and pulled down so I could kiss her. While we were making out like that, my thrusts got faster and harder. After about 7 minutes I felt it coming so I stopped kissing her for a second, "Maggie, I'm gonna cum."
She bit my lip a little and said, "I have already."
Once she said that I put my arms behind her and flipped us. She was now on her back and I was still thrusting, but the time was now. I pulled out and she knew what I wanted so she lifted her head and I moved on my knees up to her face and started stroking my dick while she was licking and sucking it. With one hand stroking me, I had the other one behind me, rubbing her pussy and finger banging her a little. And, before I knew it, "Maggie, I'm cumming." Some of it ended on her face but she was quick and stuffed her face on my dick. She swallowed the rest. I fell to the side by her and leaned over the bed to get a towel off the counter and gave it to her. She got cleaned up and a little while later we fell asleep.
I woke up and didn't feel Maggie by me so I checked my watch, it was 6:32. I must have been too tired because I didn't even feel her leave. Oh well, I probably should get ready now, but I planned on meeting Grimes' group at 9. I wasn't going to bathe today, but after last night, and I'm going to be meeting new people, might as well. So I put on sweatpants and a shirt, then put on my slippers. Someone is already using the shower in the house most likely so I'll just use the creek this morning. It's not too far in the woods. Loaded my backpack with my bath supplies and fresh clothes, and stuffed my axes in the backpack, the heads were sticking out but I just zipped both zippers up to force them to stay up right in the middle. On my way out I grabbed my boots and a spear.
It didn't take long to get to the creek since it was maybe only 10 yards in. Now, I still have reservations about taking creek baths, but I've noticed since I've been coming in the woods damn near daily, the woods have been healthier. The trees and vegetation are better looking, the animals are plumper, and the water flowing through looks clear and cleaner. I'm still not going to drink creek water before boiling right now, but I would imagine it's fine. With that said though, I'll take a bath in it.
After my bath I checked the time it was 7:12. I was getting dressed when I felt someone enter the woods from the highway side. My nature sense seemed to have received a big boost because I used to not be able to sense that far, since it's a little under 10 miles away. Whoever was in the woods was moving slow and kind of straight towards me. My curiosity got the best of me, I want to know who it is.
I put my backpack up in a tree and put my axes in their loops and grabbed my spear out of the ground and took off towards the person. It didn't take long to reach them because my speed increased as well. I peeked from behind a tree and saw the guy with the crossbow from yesterday. He was crouched down, checking some deer prints. He was taking too long, "Why are you taking so long to look at the tracks? It's obvious the trail leads right."
He jumped just a little, and raised his crossbow to where he heard me so I came out with my one hand raised and the one holding the spear down by my side with the spear pointed at the ground.
He lowered his crossbow a tad when he saw it was me from yesterday, "Sneaking up on people will get you hurt." I didn't react to that so he continued, "And, it's obvious is it? Lemme tell you something kid, I know what way the deer went, but I like taking my time hunting. Now with your loud ass speaking the deer probably ran away far from here."
I pointed with my spear to my left and said "No, it's only 400 feet that way now."
He scoffed, "Yeah, okay. Like I would buy that bull. How the hell would you know that?"
I raised my arms for a second, smiled and said "These are my woods, I know everything and where everything or one is in my woods."
He just shook his head and scoffed again, "Yeah, right." He was apparently done talking because he started to follow the trail.
"Wait before you leave, my name is Zach but people call me Bear. What's yours?"
He stopped for a second, "Daryl." Then he started walking again.
"If you see your leader before me, tell him I'll be on the highway about 9."
Daryl didn't respond he just went hmmf , and left.
I watched him walk away for a second, and then I started running back to the farm. Once back at the farm it was 8:18. I bet my dad ends up coming along to bring them back so we'll probably take his Tahoe. My dad was waiting for me by my RV, "You ready, son? Figured I'd tag along since I've met Rick and Shane before."
I put my spear down leaning on the RV, and said "Yeah, what do you think about them joining us?"
My dad cleared his throat, "Well, for starters they were cops, but honestly we need more people. Yeah, we've been pretty safe so far, but it'll come to an end eventually. Because let's face it this farm isn't the most secure. The fences can detour a few of those dead, but the last radio report before it stopped coming on said there were reports of seeing massive groups of the dead together, like in the 100s or more. The fences won't stand a chance, and I like it here but spending our time reinforcing it now will just be a waste."
I shook my head in agreement, and asked "So, what's the plan?"
My dad walked towards the driveway and had his back to me, "We need more people, we have always been stronger together as humans. But, we can't just go recruiting everybody we find. People were sick, nasty, twisted, and cruel before this hell on earth, this has probably only made it worse."
I interrupted him, "So, we just what? Interview them?"
He turned back towards me, "I know we can't be too picky because well to survive now you gotta be.." He left it to me to interpret, but continued "But, more people is just the first step. We need a base, something we can survive and thrive in and easily defend it. We've been doing that here, but like I said security or the lack thereof will be our downfall."
I stood there for a few seconds, then asked "When do you want to start looking for someplace else?"
He answered, "I'll need to talk to Hershel because with his medical knowledge, we'll need him. Enough talking though let's go meet our possible recruits." Then we started walking to his Tahoe.
As we were on our way, I asked my dad "So, are you just going to let them join? Or, ask them questions?"
He looked at me for a second then back to the road, but answered "I'm not sure yet. Since I know them, it's different, but maybe down the road we'll have real questions to ask possible recruits."
We were on the highway now and we saw a RV, and an older man with a bucket hat was on top looking at us. He was yelling at someone below him, then we saw 7 people walking towards us. They had weapons out and were slightly raised, but once we parked and got out, Rick and Shane told the people it was fine.
Rick and Shane started walking towards us so my dad and I met him halfway. My dad stuck his hand out, "It's not to see y'all again."
Rick returned the gesture and shook, and said "Been too long, Paul." He looked at me, "I'm sorry, I forgot your name."
I just threw my hands down like no problem, and said "It's Zach, but people call my Bear."
With our little reunion out of the way we carried on.
My dad started off first, "So, how many people do y'all have?"
Rick answered, "Eleven of us now, but two are kids."
Shane asked, "Where are guys holding out?"
My dad rubbed his head, "It's a farm up the road a bit, but I'll be honest the man that owns it, Hershel wants to meet you two before he lets you guys stay."
Rick spoke first, "That's no problem. We can go now."
Rick and Shane went back to their people and told them to load up, and about 5 minutes later they were ready to follow us. My dad had Rick get in with us because he wanted to talk to him personally before Hershel.
We were driving back, when my dad looked at Rick for a second and said "I'll be honest, the farm is going to be a tight fit, but that's why I had you ride with us. I plan on finding somewhere bigger, and better. We'll need help when it comes to it."
Rick said, "We can make it work. We can't stay on the road anymore. It's not good for us as a group. Or as safe."
My dad chuckled nervously, and said "It should be obvious, but this farm isn't well protected. With that said we haven't had any problems, but it would be better to start looking for something now then get effed later."
Rick sat in silence for a minute, and asked "Do you have anything in mind?"
My dad shook his head as he turned into the farm, "Not yet, but we need something with thick walls or a fence. But, here we are, Hershel is probably going to be on the porch."
We pulled up to the house and everybody from Rick's group stopped short. Shane came up to the Tahoe and we got out, and walked to Hershel who just walked out the front door.
They met, and Hershel seemed to like them for the most part. They hashed out a deal, which consisted of basically what we did/still do. Help out around the farm with whatever is needed at the time.
