章 490: 490. Paperwork

Mauve swore as she sat on Jael's seat. He had stepped out about two hours ago leaving with all these.

For more than thirty minutes, she had stared at the ceiling hoping he would come through the doors any minute from now.

She was tired. Why did she think this was a good idea? Maybe it was the reading in the dark that was getting to her but she had increased the number of candles.

Perhaps it was the fact that no matter how many she read, the letters didn't reduce or it was the recording part.

This was a lie as she had given up on that by the fourth letter. She could barely write properly, why did she think she could possibly record all of these?

It didn't take her long to figure out why Jael just wanted the important letter and the rest thrown out. They were a bunch of garbage.

If she read one more letter from Lord Phelan, she would claw her eyes out. All he did was ask about the drug, the squad, any sort of update, his son.
