章 340: 340. Nothing Has Changed

Jevera took a steady step, stopping in front of the study. She knocked once before turning the knob and pushing the door open.

Maybe she should have waited for his response before walking in but it was too late now. If he didn't want her to come in, he would turn away.

Jevera stepped into the study and frowned at the dark space. There was barely any light and the curtains were drawn even though the window was open.

There was a slight breeze but it didn't affect the room over temperature. It felt comfortably warm but still she felt uneasy.

Her eyes rested on the figure seated where Jael was supposed to be seated. His blue eyes slowly raised to look at her.

She blinked against his stare, unsure of what to say. He looked different. Differ but familiar, somehow it reminded her of a time, long ago.

"What do you want?" He asked, not hiding his irritation.
