I was getting so sick of Viktor now, with his crazy rants. When I first met him, I knew he had been through hell, but I never thought he'd be this bad.

When you were a rogue with no pack, there were not a lot of choices, so for better or worse, I had thrown my lot in with him. I was not sure who turned me, six months ago, but when I had my first change into being a werewolf, Viktor found me and helped me cope with it all.

Now, Viktor had declared himself Alpha and made me his Beta. We had to do some weird blood ceremony to bind us. He said our pack was to be made up of human-turned-werewolves only.

No wolf-born were allowed, fated mates or not. I could see where he was coming from. Every wolf-born we had come across was as arrogant as Viktor had told us they would be.

While we were reconning a pack to see if we could take out their Alpha, we came across a human who was to become this Alpha's mate. Viktor had become obsessed with this human.
