As he walked to the gates Galahad gazed upon the panicking people, running about towards the castle, while soldiers and guard were also rushing here and there to man the walls and defend this place, their eyes burning in conviction, they would defend this place to down to the last man. Sensing the panic, Galahad concluded that such attacks were not a common thing here otherwise the people would move in order or at least be calm and not panic. Walking for a few minutes he eventually reached the gates only to be stopped by a tense looking soldier, "You! Quick get to the castle! We're being attacked in case you didn't notice."
Galahad stared at his face and lazily said, "Just.....Think of me as a volunteer." Hearing this the guard took a moment to closely observe the young man in front of him, judging by his armor the person was most likely a knight. "Are you sure about this?" the guard asked him in concern only to get a yawn in response. He sighed and pointed towards the barracks, "Well don't blame me." and walked off to join his comrades in the castle's defense, only to stare slack jawed as Galahad walked to the gates and tore them apart with his bare hands and continued lazily walking outside.
Galahad spread his 'mana echoes' as he called them all over the place and quickly looked in a certain direction locking on to a specific group of people, before raising his hand and looking at it he had definitely gotten stronger after all those gates just now felt like cloth to him. Galahad in the Lost Room managed to match in speed Ushiwakamaru with her A+ Speed stat, he was sure that with time he would get even more stronger and faster.
Turning to the invading forces while ignoring the shouts of the soldiers who were telling him to return, he looked into the clearing and sighed what was it with Kingdoms and being in clearings?! His gaze then fell on the invaders which looked like swarms of men but he gave a dry laugh according to his Echo, they were at most 60,000 number while not exactly small it wasn't even enough to complete one half of the total souls he required for the evolution.
He thought for a bit standing there once again ignoring the war horns, and drums signaling the start of the battle. People may think him a coward for having shivering when in front of Guy and Velzard or fearing a clash with the Primordials or Seraphim even with his servant parameters, they need to remember that apart from exceptions even a servant with A rank strength had only 50 times the strength of an average human, they were only broken due to their unique Noble Phantasms, Magics and weaponry.
Then comes the argument that he possessed three Noble Phantasms himself but two of those are almost completely defense oriented with only the Sword of David being the one for attack. Also what the hell was the prowess 50 times that of a human's in front of people who can blow apart entire mountain ranges with casual punches?! His head shot up as swishing sounds were heard before the entire sky got covered in arrows. He sighed and took a certain stance as the Around Round Shield appeared on his left arm.
SOLDIERS POV
The soldiers stared on in horror as the entire sky was covered in arrows, but unwilling to give up, "RAISE YOUR SHIELDS!!" The commander shouted and they complied instantly raising their shields to the sky even though the chances of victory were slim they would try their best. But much to their shock an ethereal blue round shield like construct formed in front of them out of thin air. The arrows all collided into it only to bump off like simple pebbles managing to absolutely nothing to it. "W-What is this?" one of them voiced out loud asking the question that had been on everyone's mind.
But the enemy was not done yet, amassing a gigantic force like that in these times was quite hard and was likely a coalition between several other kingdoms to go after this one, this fact confused Galahad what was so special about this place?! Following the barrage of arrows a barrage of magics shot out and zoomed through the air, flame, lightning, ice and various elemental bolts shot towards the shield only to bump off like nothing and get thrown around haphazardly some even striking the invading army.
A soldier slapped the one next to him, "Why'd you slap me?!" he asked with a hand on his red cheek, "I was checking whether this was a dream or not?" he got a slap to the face as well, "Why the fuck would you check that by slapping me?!" before both their eyes widened in realization that this was in fact real! Another shout resounded, "Hey look down there!" as some of them looked down to see the same kid they were telling to get back holding a shield, which was presumably the source of this.
WITH THE ENEMY FORCES,
The soldiers looked on in shock at what had happened while the leaders were having their own nightmares, gathering such a force in this age took months and that's ignoring the preparation they had to do, now what in the name of hell was this new unknown factor that managed to shrug off all of their initial attacks.
WITH GALAHAD
Galahad nodded satisfied with the way the shield worked and shook his arm dissipating it. A sword with tags hanging from it's hilt manifested by his side and he gazed at the enemy forces before putting his hand over it. Tensura's Saints could beat Servants with each of them having an ultimate skill but that's excluding their Noble Phantasms, magics and weapons upon whose addition most of the Saints would get whooped. He yawned once and looked at the charging soldiers, his lazy look was gone now replaced by a cold and ruthless one. He slowly drew the Sword of David and as it was drawn for the first time the blade gave off waves of holy energy shaking the entire place, it was a Divine Construct after all which managed to last against the True Longinus Spear for several blows.
Once fully drawn it gave off a blinding white light, prompting Galahad to cover his own eyes, "Too bright." he said in a monotone voice before he smiled this was definitely good. He lowered his body and the sword taking a certain stance before blasting off with a boom blowing straight through enemy lines sending people flying everywhere. With speeds beyond human eyes he cut and cut through people making for a very bloody and brutal scene. He brought his sword down on a soldier splitting him in half before grabbing his spear and throwing it killing hundreds from the sheer force behind the throw. After continuing like this for several minutes he had already killed several thousand people as holy energy coated and extended from his sword giving him wider reach.
He raised his sword above as the soldiers looked on in horror, it started giving off white light forming an upside down cross as a white beam extended into the sky. He took in a deep breath and muttered, "Holy Judgement." before bringing it straight down with a loud boom, a gigantic explosion took place blowing smoke and dust everywhere. It slowly cleared away revealing something that even shocked Galahad himself, "Holy shit.", the ground had been split into two while not that uncommon the problem was that it was split apart for miles and nearly half of the invading force had been enveloped and killed by it, this was far more destructive capability than what he had expected from this sword after all it wasn't really explained much in FGO a small smile laced his face as he thought what would happen if he overloaded the energy with his own after all this was it's own. Every single soldier backed away from him out of pure fear but a wave of flames hit Galahad as an old man with a long white beard rode a horse in his direction, "Don't lose hope! I'll deal with this!!"
Seeing the old man, the soldiers gained a bit of hope after all he was quite a renowned mage but the flames cleared away to reveal a completely undamaged Galahad who raised his hand towards the old man before muttering a single word, "Sloth..." the only reason he was using this was because the old man if he was able to give them hope should at least possess an extra skill, he shrugged the attack off because he possessed Magic Resistance.
