Stella cut through the darkness. With the light as her guide, she made her way through the pitch black that had taken over the sea. She could not make out anything more than a few meters in any direction. Past that point, the light stopped penetrating. Her only option was to forge ahead in the direction she was going.
While the light did not penetrate visually, Stella could sense what the particles touched further out just before they were snuffed out. So, in a sense, her range of detection was expanded. She had passed several figures closer to the surface a short distance back, but they were not her priority. The one further down was who she was really worried about.
I'm going to try and get out a double upload tomorrow. Been stuggling a bit with deciding on what direction to take this arc. I had originally planned on having Stella come in towards the end, and changing it to bring her in sooner kind of screwed up my momentum. I feel like this new direction is going to be a good change, though. Thank you to all of you who continue to support the story and your incompetent authore here with powerstones and tickets even on days where there are no uploads.
