章 135: Rune Wakes Up

"Nghnn... Where am I?"

Rune opened his eyes and saw an unfamiliar ceiling. Everything hurt, and he had trouble remembering what happened. The pain had been so intense that his mind had tried to block it out, but bits and pieces were coming back to him.

His body felt strangely heavy, so after taking a minute to fully wake up, he gathered his strength to raise his body a little and look down. there he saw Fleur and Luna sleeping on the bed with him. They were cuddled up to him on either side and had puffy eyes. It looked like they had been crying.

He smiled gently and rubbed their hair as he laid his body back against the bed. 'I'm glad they are okay,' he thought. Staring up at the ceiling once more, he tried to piece together the parts of his fractured memory, but a voice called out to him before he made any sense of the images flashing through his mind.

"So, you're finally awake."
