章 94: Arriving at Hanabi Shrine

Dead monster carcasses littered the ground as a fierce battle was coming to a close. Rune smacked a blur of spinning armor with the flat of his blade before piercing its soft underside. Black spiny legs shot out from its shell as the creature writhed and screeched during its last breath until its legs curled inwards and it lay motionless on its back.

"Is that the last of them?" Rune asked, turning to Carin, who had just plunged her sword through the head of another monster.

"I think so." She said, removing the blood and fluids from her blade with a flick of her wrist before returning it to its sheathe.

Luna walked up to one of the carcasses and nudged it with her foot, "These things sure were annoying, though. And disgusting," She said with a grimace. This one had been her kill, and shell fragments were scattered around it giving everyone a good look at what lay beneath the resilient armor.
