I carried Fleur back to the house where, upon our return, Raya greeted us.

The two excused themselves to give us some privacy, and I walked over to Luna was sitting and took a seat beside her. I was expecting to face her wrath, but instead, she betrayed my expectations by leaning against me.

"I-I'm sorry. I acted stupid. It wasn't my intention to hurt you."

I was going to give her an excuse, but I realized that wouldn't help solve anything. So instead, I apologized in the sincerest way I could.

"I've been struggling with it a lot lately. How I'll most likely be tied to you from now on. But the more time I spent around you, the more I began to think, 'Maybe it might not be so bad staying at his side.'"

I've learned that Luna is not the type to open up to people easily, so I quietly listened to what she had to say. I wanted to let her vent her frustrations before responding.

"I've tried my hardest to put my trust in you and depend on you up til' now, so why can't you do the same? How am I supposed to feel when the person I'm stuck with won't open up to me."

"I know. I was an idiot, and it won't happen again. Can you give me a second chance?"

"At least you know you're an idiot, so I suppose that shows you aren't a total lost cause. I guess I could forgive you."

I chuckled at her behavior and decided this was a good time to try and lighten the mood a little.

"You know, if you turn your head away like that so much, your neck might get stuck that way."

"As if anyone would believe that!"

"Oh, what's this? The person who just said all that stuff about trust and honesty can't even show me her true emotions?"

"Who says I'm not being honest?!" Luna replied.

"I guess we'll just have to test it then."

I grabbed Luna from behind and pulled her into my embrace. She squirmed and tried to get free, but the weak resistance she showed told me that she wasn't seriously trying.

Luna then walked off to another part of the house in embarrassment. The way she worded things was somewhat confusing, but if I'm correct, she was basically saying she wants to take the lead for that kind of stuff.

Sometime later, we all gathered at the table to have dinner together. The mood was a lot brighter, and even Luna was in a good mood. It seemed like I was successful in my attempts to reconcile with her earlier.

After we ate, we all moved to the bathroom together, where we washed each other's bodies and soaked in the tub. Fleur was right. Raya told me I had a habit of overthinking things. I thought I had been doing a good enough job to curb that habit, but maybe I could stand to loosen up even further. This could be considered another form of hesitation. Something about myself that I had vowed to fix, and I'll be damned if I break that vow so soon.

I sat up, pulled Fleur close to my chest, and gazed deep into her eyes. Their pink glow told me her charm was in full effect, but I knew it was not strong enough to influence me.

"Alright, then I won't hold back anymore."

She wrapped her arms around my neck in response and smiled.

"Fleur?"

"Yes?"

"You're mine now."

On another note, I rewrote the synopsis for the novel yesterday, and I'd like to hear some opinions on it. I wasn't super invested in this story at the start, and it was something doing I was casually with the intention of dropping it if I got sick of writing, so I didn't put a lot of thought into the synopsis. I'm in it for the long haul now, and I figured that it might be putting some readers off. Let me know what you think of the changes. I'm hoping a better story description will draw in more people since it's the first thing readers will look at.
