章 219: Chapter 25 Scorching core
As usual desert was sunny and hot as the scorching air embraced our adventurers who were venturing into the heart of it. No matter how many times they used ice spells or cooling devices, the sun grilled them like they were fishes that were out of water.
" This is too much. Look, only three of us can go without problem and all of us are dying in this dmaned place. In the first place, why would they build a country in the middle of it? They could build it in the great jungle or great steppe."
Leah complained, wiping sweat beads from her forehead. She tried to gulp her saliva but her throat was parched and she couldn't even generate saliva.
" Totally, I wish I had true ice power. Why are you panting Agam? You are from here, right?"
Regina said with an uncomfortable look on her face, fanning herself out of desperation. Her entire clothes were seen through as she tried to cool down. The sweat was falling down like a waterfall and she wanted to find a shade near a tree or water.
" I am a human too. Do you expect all of us to go through here every day? Man, I should have packed more water."
Agam groaned, laying down on the cart with his limbs scattered around. He was panting like a dog and he smelled so bad. So do others except for Lucht, Lisha, and Chono. Trio seemed to be enjoying as the little bird chirped on his shoulder.
Licht raised his finger, feeding the little guy with the seeds and nutrients that he bought from the local market. The hawk rubbed her head, showing affection to its owner as Chono scoffed at it. He didn't bother to compete against this anomaly who liked to get on his bad side.
" Cynthia, Daemon, you traitors! You said there was no cool air next to them."
Mikael who rarely complains about something, raised his voice as he sat next to them. The kids and elf who were secretly eyeing them immediately sat next to them as others pushed in to cool down.
The black lines appeared on Licht's forehead when he felt suffocated by this meaningless fight. He simply got up from his seat, gesturing for Chono and Lisha to follow him out since they could bear sunlight.
" Ah! LOOK WHAT YOU DID!"
Cynthia exploded with mana, blasting away them. She looked at them with regret, not daring to go out which was a wise choice. Daemon wanted to sit next to them, but he could tell outside was ten times worse than inside, so he just sighed and decided to sleep.
" Ah, not fair!"
Regina said with a pout, pushing away Agam who was leeching on her. She hugged her rifle with a sad look, feeling the heat on its body.

The camels suddenly halted their movements as they knelt on the ground. The team who experienced this multiple times, immediately rushed out and built a tent to protect themselves.
" Hurry up! The sandstorm will happen soon. We need to hurry up!"
Agam shouted, urging young kids and elves to move because a storm appeared nowhere. Although the sand storm doesn't appear like this, it was a land blessed with divine power. Hence, there were many unexpected phenomena like this that had a high chance to occur.
" Hasar and Maa,go there and help Daemon. Yelene, you scout for the wind."
Agam commanded, moving to the center of the tent to hold it. Yelena who had a high affinity with spirits, felt strong wind was heading toward their direction with great momentum. She smelled the earth from miles away, knowing the storm was no joke.
" It is a big sandstorm. We need a strong core to withstand it."
She shouted loudly while observing it. Licht's face turned serious as he thought about the legend of the desert. He knew this sand storm would have a high chance to inflict damage to him. Thus, he quickly gathered mana to condense true ice.
" Lisha, create a track point here. We will bury our items and carry the necessary items on us. Don't waste your time!"
His hunch was telling him that the tent was useless. It could withstand normal storms but he felt this wasn't a simple one.
