章 6: Winter 52 : Captain Sebastian
"What you actually brought him?!" the captain yelled in surprise at Sebastian, the captain got up and saluted "I, Sebastian the third son of Maud's family is at your service my king!" Cpt Sebastian continued saluting as stiff as a rock, not even blinking.
Arthur saluted back at him and replied "Greetings captain, I've been told many things about you by your lord right here," pointing at Sebastian "and from what I hear you've distinguished yourself amongst all the other officers, firstly you manage to keep a force of 50 thousand highly disciplined soldiers at bay which is impossible to do without a head of race, which even before the great war was impossible, except for kingdom of the west which kept the demon lords army at bat for millennia. secondly, you are not even a dwarf, and lastly, why am I a God-like figure to you? You may stand down" finally finished he took a seat and waited for the captain's reply.
"Thank you sir!" the captain returned to his seat "well I'm glad that you've heard so much about me and I do try to do my best so I'm glad that it wasn'y all for nothing. For your first question, I try to follow my great grandfathers footsteps, he always said 'Regard your soldiers as your children, and they will follow you into the deepest valleys' which i always attempt to do. For your second question I'm a pure human from what I've heard from my family. And for your last question, your chosen by God!" he said with sparkling eyes
Arthur paused a bit from shock before speaking again
"Chosen by God? Please elaboraborate your claim" Arthur asked curiously
"Well i don't know why your chosen but that's what my great grandfather tought me, he always told me that you'll take back the holy land, seek revenge for Izahan, rule the continent and exterminate the monsters ruled by the demon lords army." the captain quickly answered.
"Take back the holy land? Rule the continent? Just where is your great grandfather from?" evermore curious about cpt Sebastians great grandfather.
"I don't know exactly where he came from, but he told me he served for the king Izahan who apparently died 102 years ago, at a battle against the demon lords army"
"102 years ago? Before the great war?" Arthur said out loud instead of within his head,
"I think so because he told me he used to live in the far west" sebasatian hastily replied
"So your grand father served years before the great war, at least he knew how to fight unlike most conscripts, also where did he serve within that kings army?"
"He was the general of the army and an advisor to the king" Sebastian replied
"Then did he serve in the great war?"
"I don't know, though he did tell me about the many battles he participated in, if that helps"
"Then we don't know, unless we ask him personally, can we go to your grandfather, Sebastian ?" Arthur asked eager to find out about his great grandfather.
"Im sorry my lord, but he has been dead for 12 years now" the captain replied with a deppressed look on his face.
"well I'm sorry to hear that but it appears we have run out of time, so we must make way"
Captain Sebastian salutes both Arthur and Lord Sebastian "was a pleasure to meet you in person sire!" The captain kicked his feet on to his shoe making a clicking noise whilst standing up.
Arthur salutes back"Im sure we'll meet again, goodbye" Arthur walked out the room without looking back, will they meet again? Arthur doesn't know the answer for that as he was mearly giving hope to the quite young dwarth.
