A tree fell on my house during the hurricane, so I had to fix everything and clean up. Then I remembered an anime convention was happening this August, so I had to go. So I had to get ready for it. I had no free time this past month.
They were all hiding three blocks away from the troupe; after spotting them last night, Gon and Jett called Killua and Leorio. Jett and Gon kept watch until the following day. The troupe had gone into many places but never stayed long. At one point, based on their actions, Jett knew they were actively trying to shake off any followers. However, after thinking about it, he thought it was customary for them to be careful; he was also on guard after knowing that people were after him.
However, they were now following two people. The three members from three nights ago did not come out; as for how Jett knew that the two people they were now following were members of the Phantom troupe, he had already found information about the other members. When the mafia families searched high and low for them, getting information wasn't an obstacle.
The group of four had now separated into groups of two, and Leorio, much to Jett's displeasure, ended up with Jett. The scene was the same as the original timeline: two spider group members sat outside a cafe. What was different was that Jett and the rest watched from a distance atop a building instead of sitting next to them in the same area. Of course, the idea of getting close to them had come from Leorio, so Jett quickly rejected it.
At the same time, while they observed the duo, two people in the shadow had finally decided to move. "So what's our next move, genius?" Orkis asked sarcastically.
"As we planned before, we warned the troupe, but this time around, we hired them. I was able to contact them and hired them to capture the Zaldick Kid and the kind in the green clothes," Zark said.
"So, what's my role in all of this?" Orkis asked.
"Your role is to watch out for them in the unlikely case they escape from the troupe," Zark said.
"What!?..."
"Don't argue; they are also Nen users, and who knows what could happen?" Zark said.
"Damn it, why do you get to have all the fun?" Orkis said.
Orkis, with a dark look, said, "If they do manage to escape, then kill them; we don't need them; the only one we have to bring back is the target."
"Ha-Ha-Ha, now that's more like it; you should have said that from the beginning," Zark said with a face full of malice.
"I send the message of the location of those two kids, and I'll lure the other kids with my Metamorphose Hatsu," Orkis said.
Gon and Killua were together. They communicated with Jett through their phones because they couldn't see each other through the buildings. They were both looking at the Phantom troupe without thinking about anything emotional. It was what Jett had thought them about spying on someone, and while Killua had experience as an assassin, he still showed emotion at critical times. When someone gets that feeling that someone is looking at them, it is because they have a strong emotion about the person they are looking at, warning the person.
It was the same for Jett. He couldn't see where Gon and Killua hid but knew the general location; they had discussed it the day after. "Send a message to this number; tell them the location of the other two kids. I will transform into the Gon kid and lure the other two out," Orkis said.
Jett and Killua were the first to notice the two spider members move; they saw the long-haired swordsman take out a phone to look at it. In a blur, both members moved. Killua widened his eyes because the direction they were running was where he and Gon hid.
Jett was about to move on the other side when he sensed a presses behind him. Activating Ren, Jett was a guard as he turned to face the enemy, but the person who appeared in his view was none other than Gon.
"Go..."
"GON!" before Jett could say a word, Leorio had shouted Gon's name. "What are you doing here? Did you escape? I saw those guys heading your way. What happened?" Leorio rambled on as he got closer to Gon. Jett was also walking closer; he was first surprised that Gon had appeared; he thought it was an enemy at first, but no matter from what angle Jett looked, he could only see Gon before him.
"What happened to Killua?" Jett finally asked. " They captured him; hurry, we have to follow," Gon said with the resolve Jett had seen before when one of his friends was in danger. It was why Jett believed that it was Gon before him.
"Let's go!" Leoria also said with a determined look.
Gon was leading them down alleyways behind the buildings. He was moving fast. He was using flash steps, but Jett could see that he sometimes stumbled, although it wasn't noticeable. Jett knew that Gon had practiced that move long enough to know that Gon had already mastered the technique to make those simple mistakes.
"Leorio, something is..." Before Jett could warn Leorio, out of the corner of his eyes, he saw a punch coming at him. It was good that he hadn't stopped practicing guarding against sudden attacks with Gon and Killua. Jett used Ren to guard himself against the attack. He managed to guard, but the attack still propelled him into a wall because his balance had been off while running.
"Jett!" Leorio shouted. "Gon, what are you doing?" Leorio question.
While Jett and Leorio fought with the Gon imposter, Gon and Killua struggled. After noticing the spider group had spotted them, they wanted to follow Jett's plan. If they came after them, they would run and regroup if they had to fight. But they had underestimated the speed of the two spider members. Unlike in the original story, Gon and Killua didn't get captured immediately.
Sensing someone behind him, Gon immediately performs a technique Jett had taught him: " Fisht man Karate, Seven thousand Brick roundhouse kick." His kick lands on a blue-haired girl, who guards by crossing her arms in front of herself. Not feeling any force behind Gon's kick, she motions to grab Gon, but a sudden force suddenly passes through her. Noticing this, she empowers herself with Ren to stop herself, but the force that follows the kick still makes her skid across the roof of the building.
"Not bad, kid. That was a strong kick." She was surprised; a kid had managed to push her back.
Killua was having a better time but slightly worse than Gon. When he saw the two move from their spot, Killua anticipated their attack and activated his Ren at full power. He moved quickly, performing a flash step as soon as he saw them move. His opponent, however, was also quick; before Killua could perform his second flash step, a man wielding a sword attacked him from the side; the blade was fast, and in haste, Killua had to perform a side flash step, making him crash against the wall, the wiring of the building electrocuting him.
An idea flashed in Killuas's mind when the electricity electrocuted him, but he had to quickly put it at the back of his mind because a thrust from the sword was coming at him. Killua promptly moved out of the way; using his phantom step technique, he circled the man with the sword. "Oh? That's interesting. Let's see if you can touch me, EN." an invisible circle of Nen surrounded the swordsman. 'As soon as he steps into my range, I will detect him,' the swordsman thought.
However, Killua was still under his brother's control; the swordsman's Nen was more potent than his own, making him want to escape. All this had happened within a minute of their meeting. "Gon! Let's go!" Killua shouted. However, Gon wasn't able to escape from the female. She had captured him with an almost invisible thread; if he tried moving, the thread would tighten. They had both traded a few blows; the woman had bruises on her arm from guarding against Gon's attacks. However, she had still captured him.
"Go, Killua. Jett will be able to help me." Gon had confidence that Jett could do something to save them; he somehow knew it. Killua, on the other hand, wasn't sure. Although his body was telling him to run, he knew that he wouldn't be able to leave Gon behind.
With a long sigh, Killua stopped trying to run. He knew they wouldn't be able to escape. However, he also wondered why Jett and Leorio hadn't arrived. Killua already knew Loerio wouldn't be able to come as fast as Jett, but with Jett's speed, he should have been here already; the distance where they were hiding wasn't that far unless something happened that kept them from coming.
"I'm sorry, Gon. I can't leave you," Killua said. Gon looked at Killua and said, "Don't worry, Killua. We can count on Jett." Gon remained optimistic, believing that everything would work out.
Jett, however, had little time to think about what could be happening to Killua and Gon; in fact, Jett believed that the spider captured Killua because the Gon in front of him resembled Gon too much, even the Nen was the same, although the expression Gon was showing now wasn't one that Gon would make.
After "Gon" kicked him, he attacked Leorio. Leorio hadn't practiced his Nen, believing he had already mastered it, so he could not stop Gon's attack. He was defeated instantly; a punch to the solar plex made Leorio immobile.
"Who are you?" Jett, who had quickly recovered, asked the Gon imposter. He could see Leorio wasn't dead, so he didn't move to help him; being out of the way was better. Leorio would only hold him back; Jett also needed to figure out what was happening with Gon. There was only one conclusion he could think about. Gon was being manipulated. Someone was using a Manipulator technique.
There was another possibility, and that was that the Gon in front of him was an imposter like Jett had previously thought. As if reading Jett's mind, the Gon imposter said what he was thinking, "You think I'm an imposter, right?" Of course, Orkis was an imposter, but part of the game was to make the other person hesitate to attack their friend, giving him the advantage to attack with all his power while his opponent held back, afraid to hurt their friend.
His Hatsu Mertamorphegons was a specialist type; he could take the form of anyone as long as he could make a one-minute contact with his target. He could copy their appearance, Nen, and three days of memories. The restrictions were that he couldn't use the Hatsu against his target, and if the target saw him, his Hatsu would be undone. However, if the target died, he could use the appearance of the person he copied indefinitely, but his strength would stay the same as when he copied the target.
It was why he chose to work with a partner. His partner would hold off the person he targeted or killed them so he could infiltrate or use it to kill someone close to the person he copied.
"Well, you would be right on any other occasion, but I'm manipulating his boy with my Hatsu now. I even have some of his memories; you guys want to get the game Greed Island, right?" That was something Jett didn't want to hear; he could deal with the situation if someone were only coping Gon's appearance. He could use all his strength to kill his opponent, and while he could maim Gon, it wouldn't help if they were attacked again.
'Damn it, what should I do, and where is Killua?' Jett thought he had already found his situation terrible enough; now he had to worry that Killua was being attacked in another place because he believed Killua was strong enough not to die and let Gon get captured, so something must have happened that was holding him back.
'Killua is strong. He will be fine; I have to worry about how to deal with the situation in front of me first,' Jett thought.
