Ace entered the house, he turned on the lights after locking the door. The beautiful rays of the light that hung above his head gushed into the living room. He walked into the kitchen to get himself dinner. He heard footsteps approaching and he stared at the open door that led into the kitchen.
“Hello. How was your day at work?” Chloe said walking close to him.
“Excellent.”
“That's great. What about Earnestine?” Chloe asked, she was now standing next to him.
“She's doing great but I haven't gotten the time and chance to tell her.”
“You should bro. It's been eight months since you knew her. You deserve to be in love.” Chloe said patting his back.
“I hope so.” Ace smiled.
“You are the best cousin brother in the universe.”
“You are better, Chloe.” Ace smiled. Chloe heaved a sigh.
“Well. Goodnight. I need to do my homework.” She said.
“Yeah. See you in the morning.” He escorted her out of the kitchen, waving while watching her saunter upstairs.
