章 11: Entry 11: Thief [3]
"...So is everyone here?"
The room was silent waiting for continuation.
"Alright good, now let's start the meeting!"
Right now, this town is in a pretty strange situation....first some robbers came and stole from us, then they return some of our goods, and then they attack us out of nowhere.
Either the robbers have no idea how to steal something or they are just messing around.
"Over a few hours, we received reports that four more people have encountered the thieves and all of them got beaten badly...." the room was quiet. "...But we were able to confirm what their magic was and how they tend to fight so we will prepare for that now accordingly. The plan of action will start today midnight!"
And so the meeting started, we were all listening and giving out our views of how can we even handle them. First of all, there were three people...a muscular man, a slim woman and the biggest of all, a chubby man and all of them were wearing black cloaks and masks.
After an hour we decided a plan...only 10 people were allowed to enter while rest of them were patrolling around the streets in groups. Needless to say, it would be difficult for this plan to work with the amount of setups and probability it requires.....
The plan would commence 3 hours from now on....

An hour had passed and we set up some traps to lure the thieves in. It was the most basic traps that anyone can think of and if you fell for them.....I feel sorry for you.
The chances for this plan to work were less than half but it was the only choice we had so we took the gamble and hoped for the best.
Meanwhile the thieves were trying to escape but were failing everytime. They either attacked us or avoided us when we were in group so we somehow were able to keep them in check but it wouldn't last long so we had to hurry quickly.
And then the scene started. There was an explosion coming from north side of the town and so I decided to go there alone. The moment I reached there, it seemed like I entered a warzone.
It was a complete disaster...windows were broken, the doors got ripped and some stores lost their banners and in the middle of the scenario there were two people....
Wait! Two people? What happened to the third one?
"Urgh! Where did Misano go!!Did she finally decided to ditch us here in the middle of the town!!!"
"I don't know boss! Geugh..it seems we got seperated by that annoying blast!!"
The two thieves were talking to each other loudly while they were busy fighting three people...
"TAKE THAT!!" A middle-aged man attacked with his wind but the young muscular man dodged it and it hit the big chubby man.
"Geugh!"
"Aagh this town is so troublesome! I told you guys we should have escaped last night and not be busy returning those stolen items we don't need!!"
The young man landed and the moment he landed...the man who attacked earlier got electrocuted!
"AAAGH" The man screamed in pain but that thief didn't stopped and decided to run away
"Let's run now Bossun!!" and the man started running
'No! I can't let that happen! I am not letting you run away'
And so next moment I created few strong vines and grabbed the arms of the one who seems to have thunder ability
"Bijlio!!" So his name was Bijlio huh....still I had to lock him even though I might be no match for him!
"Uaarrgh! Again and again! When will you people learn!!" Bijlio screamed before he charged his attack...I quickly noticed it and locked his legs with my vines and made him lose his balance.

He fell down but I wasn't done yet. I had to make him pay for hurting our people..the amount of items they have stolen and the amount of blood that had been shed...he had to pay!! And so I increased the amount of vines to atleast capture one of them but in the next moment.....
I felt a presence..
Someone was behind me and the moment I looked back, it was the third thief who jumped from the rooftop...she seemed to have emerald eyes but the moment she looked at me, I was flown away and crashed to a wall
"Uargh!!" I screamed out of pain and in the next moment I took another strike on my guts!! Urgh, it really really hurts....and on the next moment...I blacked out...

I woke up in a bed after that. I for some reason lost my consciousness after those attacks but something was wrong...I can't explain it properly but when I took damage I started to lose consciousness then...Urgh I am feeling so pathetic right now!! Why did I let my emotions took me over! I should have atleast captured one of them....and now they escaped.
But whose bed was I at? And that's when the door opened..."Oh Gale you have woken up!" It was an young lady with short navy blue hair and crystal eyes whom I met when I first moved to this town 7 years ago...
Her name was Nadi Manu who was 3 years older than me. She was like a big sister to me and a devil incarnate
"Ah Nadi! What happened?"
"You were injured outside the street so I picked you up and treated you here. You took a bad beating down there."
"....You don't have to tell me that." I was feeling dejected and looked down
"...By the way. Did you manage to get anything from the thieves?"
"....Oh Right!!Where are they?!" I asked quickly
"Calm down before you hurt yourself any further. They escaped right after your fight with them and are being chased all around the town."
"..."
"Don't feel bad that you weren't able to best one of them. If we manage to drag this out enough the plan will surely work."
"...yeah. But it's still frustrating. It definitely seemed like I could have won if I was fighting them alone! I perhaps had the electric guy too!!"
"....Wait! repeat that once more?" Nadi asked me
"Uhhhh I could have won if they were alone?"
And that's when she stood up and shouted
"THATS IT!!Ofcourse why didn't I thought of this before..." Nadi seemed to be in a deep thought
"Uuuh what's it again?" I asked as I was confused
"Of course idiot, it's them seperating! Of all the battles we lost they seemed to be always at a group but if they are seperated we might have a chance to capture them once and for all before we lose half of our town!!"
She seemed pretty energetic
"No time to waste anymore! I have to go tell the revised plan to the chief before its too late!!", "...Oh Gale...you should keep resting and don't do anything stupid alright?" and she left
Doing something stupid? No I can still fight...the whole town is in this mess currently and we can't let some 3 people mess up our whole town...
I began thinking. Thinking of how can I win the fights. I can't afford to rest if the whole town is in danger...what if they broke into my house and kidnapped Tama!?
No! I have to stay calm!
And so I started making a plan and played various scenarios of how can I win next time if I fight Bijlio again
"...I will fight him again....and next time I will win"
