章 49: Gate
Blush had no lingering attachment to Dr Gero and did not hold strong enough feeling towards him despite what he had done or the connection they had once shared.
There was no familial love or connection between them to begin with and the only thing he had given her was her name.
She held no hatred towards him for putting her through many tests or his poor parenting and decisions made during their time together even if she had the right to be angry with him.
Blush was well aware of what kind of man he was and was bound to him until she could grow enough to leave his side so she chose to endure it.
A scientist would understand what another scientist was like and understood their various thought processes and goals so Blush was able to relate to him a little even if he had chosen a certain bad path for himself.
He was hardheaded and would not be persuaded by others when he made a decision so even if Blush did not agree with him, she could not intervene and would not pity him for the hardships he had to endure from those decisions.
Scientists like Dr Gero were more suited to working on their own and staying away from being noticed due to their high talents and their skewed morale compass.
It was easy for them to be pulled into researching something bad and to get involved with some bad characters.
Such scientists were more interested in how their research could help achieve a greater purpose for themselves or the world, the number of casualties or atrocities that were created along the way were just a number on their list that had been the result of their failures until they day they succeeded.
There was no distinction between race, gender, age and status to them since the world was like their own testing ground and laboratory.
Their genius would be used up by those around them, the scientist would get what they wanted but those they worked with would gain a lot of power to do a lot of evil in the world.
There was no emotion that was from Dr Gero which had been aimed towards Blush during their time together and once he had satisfied his curiosity, he had discarded her like a failed product without taking enough time and care to investigate where he was sending her.
No matter what happened to her once he left was of no concern to him and it was the same for her who did not care for how he lived in the future.
The only reason why she had visited him was due to her needing his knowledge which was related to the current events so it would be easier to solve the problem with less risks being involved.
Dr Gero did not mind his things being used in any way and his own time being taken up for something outside of his main purpose so long as it helped to contribute towards his main goal and research.
Blush was different from him and did not wish to be used by or rely on the whims of others, it was better to build up her own support system where she held most of the control over how it would develop and how she would used her own finished products of her research.
The location had changed again once the weasel came back to the surface and transformed into a bird which flew off into the distance.
The strange thing was that the tunnels she had dug up no longer existed and everything had returned to its original place just like the room she had visited.
She flew further until she finally reached her main destination where a strange gate had formed, surrounding it were the attempts of some humans that had tried to fence it off and to defend against those that came from the gate but the defences were left in a bad condition.
Once she had landed, Blush was busy picking up and storing several herbs that was around the gate then began investigating the gate with her spell as she tried her best to discover how it worked.
Even if she did not understand it completely, it would be helpful to experience a spacial gate that lead to another location at least once and to study its principles.
She then stepped through the gate without touching the demon artefact which was stuck in the entrance of the gate and felt strange as she was moved from one place to another.
Blush soon found herself in a strange new world that was far too different to the world she had lived in.
The Demon Realm, Devil Realm or otherwise referred to as the Dark Demon Realm was located at the very tip of the universe that was not a part of the Living World or Other World.
It was described as a physical plane opposite of the known universe and had been the home to the Demons, Demonic Namekians, Ogres, Devils, Majins and some dark dark mages who had fled to or lived there.
The Demon Realm was filled with a powerful unique type of dark energy which Blush was all too familiar with.
The energy was used by many of the Demon Realm races when they were present in the Demon Realm as it was a part of their everyday life that was present everywhere around them.
They had made some advancements in science and magic in various parts of the demon realm which were related to the dark energy.
Not every place would be as advanced and certain gates of entry to the Demon Realm would be less advanced and the inhabitants would not be as strong as other locations where the strong were gathered and the dark energy was stronger.
The dark energy was suffocating to her who was not like those of the Demon Realm races.
It was all too familiar to her and reminded her of the first memories that she had gained from the body she had inhabited.
The physical pain and aftereffects that lingered in her body which had been overcome still remained within her and the environment only helped to bring up those bad memories and experiences.
Just as the dark energy was about to linger around her body, the magic power was released from her body and formed a layer of protection which got in the way of the dark energy from the Demon Realm.
The layer of protection which was her mana skin spell had been exposed to the opposing dark energy and she could feel the mana skin putting up a resistance against it.
A smile formed on her face. 'This is indeed the perfect place for me to make some progress. The only problem would be my magic power capacity.. I cannot remain here for long otherwise this dark energy will only affect me once my magic power has run out.'
Her human form was cancelled and her demon form had been revealed which helped her to better blend in to the environment.
A sword had come out of the gourd on her waist then had positioned itself on her back while she walked forward into the new dark world that seemed to be part of some underground piece of that world. 'I did gain a little knowledge from those two demons but that is not enough for me to be guaranteed a way to survive in here.'
