Mondstadt Pt. 15
(Remember, this is a fanfic. Anything goes. Well not anything but you get what I mean.)
"Hey Kaeya." Aether said standing in front of him. Aether was walking around trying to find Amber's house but he couldn't find it.
"Hey Aether. What do you need this handsome boy for?" Kaeya said flipping his ponytail.
" I need to know where Amber's house is. And before you say anything. Yes we're going out on a date." Aether said sitting on a ledge.
" Congratulations. Both of you will make a good couple." Kaeya clapped his hands in happiness.
" Thank you Kaeya. But that good couple you wanted won't happen unless I find her house. " Aether said panicking. He has never been on a date before. Not even in his past life. That's what happens when you don't touch grass.
"Alright alright calm down. Her house is right beside the Adventurers' Guild reception building. Better go now. I'll look forward to the details later. " Kaeya chucked and shooed Aether away.
" Thanks Kaeya. You're a lifesaver." Aether bid farewell and ran away.
"Why can't I get a girlfriend like him? Guess I'll drink my sorrow away." Kaeya said going to Angel's Share.
Aether arrived at Amber's house. He had done all the commissions assigned to him so he didn't need to worry about missing a day. He took a deep breath and knocked on the door.
*Knock knock*
" Who is it? " Amber asked behind the door.
" Oh come on Amber. You couldn't possibly forget about your date can you? " Aether said smiling.
" Oh sorry! Come in! " Amber said opening the door. She was wearing a white dress that reached her knees. She had a ribbon tied around her waist. She still had that bunny bandana on her head.
"Amber. You're so beautiful." Aether said mesmerized by her beauty.
" T-thank you Aether. Y-you look handsome too. " Amber blushed and said shyly.
" Handsome. I didn't even wear the right clothes. Wait a moment please. " Aether said and ran away to get clothes.
" Haiiiiihhhhh. Stupid idiot. " Amber smiled and shook her head. She sat there and thought about what to eat when she gets to Good Hunter.
Aether came back to her house. He was now wearing a black jacket with a white t-shirt underneath, black pants that reached his ankle,not covering his feet. He is also wearing black leather boots with a brown bottom.
How the hell did Aether find all that? A clothing store down the road. Took him a few minutes and a few hundred Mora.
"W-wow Aether. That was fast. " Amber blushed at how handsome Aether looked.
"C'mon Amber. You can say that I'm handsome later." Aether grabbed Amber's hand and went to Good Hunter.
" Wait! Let me stand beside you! " Amber shouted and Aether stopped. After Amber was beside him he continued walking. Some people were looking at the couple.
" Damn. A handsome man and a beautiful lady. They'll make a good couple. " One villager said.
" Isn't that the outrider and the Adventurer? " One villager pointed out.
" I don't care who they are. They make a good couple." A villager beside him said.
Amber was red. Aether was smirking.
" It's not funny Aether." Amber pouted.
" It is. Especially since we're holding hands right now. People are definitely going to see us as a couple. But I wonder. What if we actually became a couple. What kind of things will we do Amber? " Aether said daydreaming while Amber was getting redder.
" With a pervert like you! You wish! " Amber got grumpy.
" We're literally holding hands. You're not allowed to say that when we're doing this." Aether held his hands and Amber's hands which were intertwined up to her face.
"Okay okay I get it!" Amber said pulling down her and Aether's hands.
"Get what? We make a good couple?" Aether laughed while Amber blushed in embarrassment. They arrived at Good Hunter and ordered what they want. Paimon also appeared and sat down with them. They talked about stuff while waiting and when the food arrived, they ate like monsters. People were shocked to see an Outrider who is a girl eating like she's never eaten fried chicken before.
After they filled they're bellies. They walked around Mondstadt. Eventually Amber turned around and looked at Aether.
"That was really fun Aether. I'm glad that we get to do this. Can we do this again? " Amber asked shyly.
" Of course. If you want to tell Katheryne. She'll tell me. " Aether said petting her head.
" But what if—
"Katheryne isn't a busybody from what I can tell. She'll keep it to herself." Aether reassured.
"Okay then. And before I go. Take this!" Amber quickly leaned in close to him and gave him a kiss on the cheek.
*Chu!*
" Bye now! " Amber ran away leaving a dust trail behind her.
" Oh Barbatos why did I do that! " Amber thought blushing.
" That was cute Amber! See you soon! " Aether shouted. Thankfully no one was around them. Amber blushed even more.
Aether went back to his place that he was renting out. He changed back to his clothes and came back out. He went to the training grounds and started his ruthless training regime. After exhausting his magic reserves, his hands and feet. Aether was still not done.
He still had to research about the teardrop. He sat down and took out the stone.
"How are you influencing me?" Aether thought and flowed his magic into the stone. The stone got brighter.
"So your reactive to magic. Good to know. But how did the original manage to purify it. Did he absorb it or did he simply just used the filter technique?" Aether used his elemental sight and sensed that the teardrop was oozing out evil. There is a dark aura surrounding it.
"How did I not already succumyto the teardrops evil. It's Stormterror's tears. If summoning evil gods is possible in this world then reading memories is also possible. " Aether closed his eyes and tried to reach out to the evil. He put even more magic in the stone. He was able to feel something in it.
"Why does it feel like it has life? No fucking way is this Stormterror's soul. How is that even possible. Hold up, I can try to absorb it." Aether thought.
"Aether. Paimon thinks it's best not to do that. The soul in that teardrop might control you like those last few times." Paimon warned.
" If it wants to control me. I would've been under its control the moment I touched the teardrop. " Aether said back. He put all his might in the stone.
" I thought i was exhausted. Guess the excitement about learning new things fueled me. " Aether thought. He pulled the soul of Stormterror into his body using his fire and wind magic at the same time. He felt something entering his body. His veins are pulsing with redness. It felt like eternity, the Raiden Shogun should try this. Maybe it'll complete her ambition.
When it was over. Aether let out a deep breath that came out of nowhere. The teardrop was clear as the sky now. Evil was purged from it.
"Uhhhh Aether?" Paimon said nervously in his head.
"Yeah what's going on?" Aether asked.
" There's this red ball right beside Paimon. It's kinda scary. " Paimon said panicking.
" Don't worry I'll try something. " Aether put the crystal back in his backpack. He closed his eyes again and used Elemental Sight on himself. There is a red ball that is beside his heart. There are also two more light balls that are directly in his heart. The first one was bigger and had a golden color to it. It felt like life. The second one was smaller and looked like stars. It felt like dreams and ambitions.
"The two light balls must be me and Paimon's soul. The red one must be Stormterror's. I'll try to absorb it into my soul. I only need the memories and the powers." Aether ordered his soul to be moved beside the evil soul. When it came in contact with Stormterror's soul, a battle broke out.
Aether opened his eyes. One eye has slits that look like dragon eyes while the other is Aether's eye color. "
My insides hurt. " He spoke out. He ignored the pain and continued fighting. He willed his soul to not give up and pulled.
"Stupid human! You think you can defeat me! I, Stormterror, will not be absorbed by the likes of you! I will destroy Mondstadt and it's people that betrayed my trust!" Stromterror shouted inside me.
" And this is exactly why you will be absorbed. I simply cannot let that happen." Aether shouted inside his head. This is a battle of ambition and determination. And he will not give up on his dreams!
"No! Why am I being absorbed?" The soul piece of Stormterror shouted in despair.
"Don't know. Perhaps my ambitions are much greater than your childish ones." Aether replied and smirked on the outside. He thought about his ambitions even more. Aether understood what he wanted now.
"Noooooooooo!!!!!" Stormterror was absorbed into Aether's soul. Aether suddenly had something forced into his head. He opened his eyes only to feel the pain disspear immediately. He looked around.
"That did give me a thought. What are my ambitions and dreams? To be the strongest and get all the booba and non booba (legal) possible. " Aether got up with renewed energy.
" Let's see what this dragon has to offer. " Aether muttered grinning.

(Soul absorbing. Sounds like a disaster. This chapter is a disaster in my opinion.)
