章 152: She Who Slowly Falls Deeper

Duncan's cold voice stopped my brother from speaking further. I didn't have to wonder where Duncan was. The way his eyes widened and his throat worked gave him away. 

I could also feel Duncan's overwhelming aura behind me. When one of his arms came around my waist and drew me close I sighed. 

There was something comforting about him. I could always breathe easily whenever Duncan was beside me. Oh, I still overthink but not as much as before. 

"If you want to ask more questions, talk to Defective Reyes. He is the one you should be asking. No' your older sister," Duncan said in a soft threatening voice, and continued, "Nor Emilia."

My brother must have hit his head or something, because he still answered back. "She, they, are still part of the family, so I can talk how I want to talk to them." I could still feel that he was afraid of how shaky his voice was, but that cockiness made Duncan laugh at his words.
