"Where's Mike?" I asked when everyone's excitement had died down. 

Grandma Ai had carefully put her gift inside the box, while Emilia was still wearing hers. Something about an online meeting and she forgot her blazer at home. 

"Mike is talking to the doctor. They are asking if I could be released today," Ai said. "I have been here for more than eight days. My lab results are all negative, the doctor just wants me here," she ended with a pout. 

I smiled and hugged her. She may be old, but she still has the heart of a child at times. 

"Lola, it doesn't hurt to make sure you are okay," I told her in a gentle voice. "Besides, you get to eat and be pampered by the nurses. Not to mention Mike became your personal maid."
